I've been thinking about this, why did Luis give that massive statement saying he felt the 3 game ban was sufficient. We know from the Evra case what utter utter c**** the FA are so why didn't we just go down their and say sorry guv, it was a spur of the moment reaction, no intent, no malice I just flipped out and bit him. Why did we have to bring prior events into it, that's their job.

Exactly, how is this in any way similar to an assault on a match official. Why have they ignored the case of the lad from Chester who got 5 games for biting? Why is Suarez defence being used to increase the punishment, he has apologised unreservedly he just believes that under the FA rules a 3 game ban would have been sufficient. He may be mistaken in that but it doesn't mean he doesn't recognise the seriousness of his action. They have treated him as if he denied the charge. We should have got Grabiner on this.
