Without being too blunt, without any kind of context these stats are completely meaningless. You can see with your eyes if a team is improving or stagnating and we are clearly the former, but we are going to have a massive change in personnel in the summer so Brendan's current challenge is to avoid replicating the start of last season. -
Yeah, of course it was, I don't know my Agger from my Torres. Suggested there may be a tad more loyalty than f***ing off to a rival but there you go. As a business decision it was sound, join a club in the CL and be eligible to play in a fortnight.

Yes, Torres choice of club was the problem not that he wanted to leave. The fact that he has YNWA tattooed on his arm would have made me expect a bit more but you know how it is. Well, we will find out on the 1st July if it is real or not

I'm taking the piss out of a ridiculous post. He's making a lot of them lately IMO and they are very pro FSG. So rather than going through his ridiculous points while I'm supposed to be working I used a one line put down. Sorry.

No, it's because I read the interview that Suarez and his agent sanctioned where he was bombarded by questions that focussed on leaving Liverpool and the possibility of teaming up with Cavani at Madrid. It's a prepared piece, he's off.

Why did Luis sit down with an interviewer who asked him questions about leaving Liverpool and not much else. Real Madrid seem to have other priorities, I think we might be losing him towards the back end of the summer. I hope we prepare for life without him, buy the players we need and if he stays it's a result, rather than ending up short AGAIN or spunking a load of money on TDD ourselves.

Do you think he gives these radio interviews without he and his agent reading the questions before hand. Why didn't they veto all the Madrid stuff about him and Cavani. He wants out, he may be persuaded to stay but he wants out and he is being a dick about it.

Gillette and Hicks paid £30m in interest every season when we were in the CL. Spending £22m net is f*** all. They spent £100m in the summer but it was tempered by £60m for Torres and Babel. They didn't dig THAT deep. This is my concern, they want to make us successful, for whatever reason you choose, but they don't look like they are willing to spend to achieve it. They are trying to do it a different way and so far it isn't really working.

You haven't got it at all, you're as clear as mud. Suarez is using the Uruguayan media to engineer an exit from Liverpool and blaming the English media ergo he is being a dick. I would have more respect for him if he handed in a transfer request and said I want to play in the Champions League. I am resigned to him leaving now so just want him to f*** off. If Suarez does anything that changes that position, like Gerrard did, then I would welcome him back with open arms.

Maybe they thought they could get us back in the top 4 in one window, sort out the finances, get planning for the stadium and make a quick return. I don't know, I am posting the other extreme of 'they are decent guys who don't get football'.

It's either that or they bought us because Henry was mates with Broughton and he engineered a position that meant that FSG could pick us up for peanuts and they are trimming the fat before looking to sell us. I'm not sure which it is, but this summer is crucial as we fall further behind our 'rivals' every season and if god forbid Arsenal actually decide to spend some money we could end up out of the top 4 for a long time.

He had improved it, I'd say got to grips with it would be stretching it. We need a dominant centre back to improve our set piece defending and we need to see how the new players bed in but there was definite progress. 9 less goals in the same number of games against the same teams has to be deemed as progress.

I don't like these arbitrary cut off points for that reason, unbeaten in 10 means beaten 11 games ago. I think everyone agrees first half of the season was a write off so last 19 league games I make it 17 goals conceded.
