  1. I had my heart in my mouth, sadly.
  2. Yes! Much better movement since Ibe went off.
  3. Plenty of keepers concede there, but yeah, I think De Gea saves that with his legs - so, too, Cech. Mignolet's not comfortable with his feet in any sense, and the really top guys are. We're still playing like rubbish, though...
  4. Agreed. There's no denying that Arsenal had a few good periods in the game, but it feels like another one of those games where we contributed to all of the goals (our and theirs...) A bit more defensive solidity and Arsenal aren't in that game at all.
  5. Allen really made a difference when he came on, we were more direct and created a number of good opportunities.
  6. Good point, might have fallen asleep waiting for the wave on.
  7. What was weirder in that situation, though, was that when he did finally wave him back on, Henderson just stood there for a while.
  8. Henderson Lovren Firmino
  9. His general mood in the press conference appears to be that of bewilderment - it's clear he wasn't expecting a performance like that. I thought the final comment was very interesting - "I would like to work with this team if it's OK for (with) you". It can be read a number of ways, but I get the feeling he thinks there's still a lot more potential to uncover within the squad.
  10. It's beside the point, but look at it again - if Origi doesn't touch it, the keeper most likely makes the save.
  11. I hadn't seen that in a while - it's Gold! And, unfortunately, probably quite true with regard to Sturridge.
  12. What will they be scanning?
  13. Coutinho Firmino Lallana
  14. I was in the UK for that League Cup Semi-Final at Villa where the kick-off was delayed for over an hour - at 3-3 and with about 5 minutes to go a message comes over the PA system that the last train was about to leave. I couldn't believe it!
  15. That's a fair point but equally, with BR having the final say on the team that goes out on the park, it's difficult to figure out whether some signings have been incompetent or not. The suspicion is that whilst BR's signings were given ample opportunity to succeed it was not the case with the committee's signings. I believe, from FSG's perspective, they would simply think that too many of our players have devalued in the market - which is the opposite of their business plan.
  16. That's the absurd thing about loans - the players are supposedly going on loan so that they can get more games, but so many factors can conspire to actually result in them getting less games. First and foremost, the preference for the loanee club would always be to play their own players. If the club does well, then why change things? If the club struggles (and particularly if it continues to struggle), there'd always be the suspicion (rightly or wrongly) that the loan player isn't/won't be as committed as theirs. I guess the other option is that we just want them off the wage bill, but that points to the issue of having the player on the books in the first place.
  17. That looks like a cut-out head on another body!
  18. The way Skrtel handled himself in that situation was brilliant, I thought. Also, it showed how focused he was - nothing was going to put him off the job at hand. He could (should??? ) have made a meal of it, but it didn't enter his head, as by that stage he knew he had his measure.
  19. Skrtel Coutinho Benteke
  20. A few people seem to be saying this, but wouldn't the club have insurance for this kind of thing?
  21. Lucas Moreno Benteke
  22. Wouldn't be surprised if there's a few "Who???" signings, most likely from the Bundesliga - players that Klopp and his team are aware of, that are flying under the radar and ready to take the next step.
