  3. "You know what Nando, after January you're gonna feel as if your playing in a different team altogether"
  4. yep, he's the type of guy who won;t take no for an answer
  5. Right lads, we may as well try this 'playing the ball on the ground' lark
  6. under normal circumstances i would dismiss such a rumour (and thats not a criticism for posting it) but given the god awful string of events at the club this would not as surprise as much as it ought to. having said that, i see little point in handing in a transfer request so far away from the transfer window
  7. I've forwarded it to a danish colleague to ask if its a true translation
  8. At least I can amend my fantasy team now, every cloud...
  9. ok i'll take that!
  10. Its not actually, in fact its the total opposite. purslow said that the one thing worse than no sale is the wrong sale, which i happen to agree with. Its Moore's who got us here by selling to a pair of parasitic C***nts. the nazi/nuremberg analogy is not only totally out of proportion but it also bears no resemblence, even in principle, to the circumstances surrounding nuremberg.
  11. publisged fees but not payment structure. I mean, think about it rationally, why on earth would purslow go on the record on the official site with dishonest answers and lies about transfer money? He's obviously a smart and savvy guy to have the job he has so it makes no sense to think he would happily tell barefaced lies in public when as you say the accounts are published every year and he could be exposed at the drop of a hat by anyone with an abacus
  12. no, but i dont know of any who dont either. i.e. i have no idea how other clubs operate and none of us really know how we do so we have no real factual basis to call him a liar
  13. I think its way too harsh to call the link 'bellend' . to be honest I thought it was a pretty frank interview. The guy cannot win. I've no brief to champion him and im not trying to but I'm taking that interview at face value. to say that he is lying when he says we put 100% of sales of players back into buying them is a total stretch. how do you know we dont? for instance, we sell mascherano for 18M for arguments sake. does anyone on here really believe that the manage then has 18M to spend on players? the reason why he would not is pretty simple. I would say when we bought Mascherano we paid a sum up front and the rest to be paid in installments over a fixed number of years. for all we know we might still be servicing that debt. and how do we know that Barca paid 18M upfront for mascherano? how do you know it wasnt a sum up front with more to be paid over the years?
  14. Well he clearly felt he wasn't being given a fair crack of the whip, and he obviously wasn't alone in that sentiment. whether he was right or not we dont know and its not that relevant. thats how he perceived the situation. in any event, my point was the departing message was a nice touch and he was very complementary to the fans.
  15. I say fair play to him. he was obviously very frustrated with rafa not giving him a run last season. The sinking ship comment was out of order, not because it wasn't necessarily true at the time but its totally inappropriate for a player on the books to say things like that. But if you forgive him for that, the departing message was a nice touch
  16. Thats the spirit!
  17. no, your suggestion is the worst gamble in the world. lets say we all boycott and the yanks persist with their crazy valuation. we give them no money, we lose gerrard, torres, reina, masch etc..because they dont have the income to pay them, and then the yanks relise they need to sell at a discount and they sell and the new owners come in and have to rebuild a team without the best players we currently have. does that sound like a victory to you? id rather the yanks sold the club with our best players in situ thank you very much. and in any event and in all reality, if me, you and ever other european fan boycotts liverpool it wil not stop the asian market from doing so. and in all reality you will never ever mobilise a european fanbase large enought to boycott the club to make any sort of material impact. so please just stop with this idea, ideally its not sound and practically it is a fantasy
  18. no, im giving my money to Liverpool Football Club, established 1892, and my money into our club will survive long after the lifetime of those 2 individuals you mention. you seem to imply that im paying money into their personal account, which, with respect, is either v shortsighted, cynical or Retar*ed
  19. furthermore, if the current regime actually makes 'fans' boycott the club the not only are they underscoring and exascerbating the achilles heel that we have in the guise of the owners but they are turning their back on the instsitution that is LFC and the 'walk through a storm' ethos as an aside, I hope mr moores is having restless nights these days
  20. yes, kick the club when its down, great idea... when will people realise how to divorce LFC from its current ownership. it existed before and sure as F*** will exist after these pr*&ks leave. I will not abandon my ticket nor my shirt, ever
  21. no, if you actually considered my post properly i was referring to the players who are being linked with moves away. jesus...!!
  22. has anyone considered that maybe pour big namer players ;like gerrard, torres, masch and maybe yossi indicated that they favoured a change of manager and that precipitated this event, if true? just throwing it out there, not beyond the realms of possibility ifotclubs are bidding for our best players and we are hoping they will stay
  23. they are winding you up mate
  24. pure speculation. i'm assu, ming H&G des[pite being utter stnuc* will not want a complete moron in charge and im sure boughton will do his job as a director of the company and act in the best interests of the club.
  25. utter nonsense, i think its general knowledge that they'd be laughing if rafa stayed, theyve being saying it for a long time. id say they are worried now that we get someone else in who revives the squad and injects some impetus into our squad. if we are stuck with the current squad in general, then we need new impetus and that will come from a new manager and new coaching staff
