Lovely story "this is where you belong son" RIP Harry

No, we went by bus. Stopped off in France, Switzerland and then Florence. Same on the way back. Not as bad as the train but still tiring. Good job we won or the trip back would have been...quiet! I also still have the red and white flag I bought!

I still have my original ticket. Although it was spoilt by the attendant ripping the wrong end of the ticket off!

Not Paul Walsh but Ian St John giving somebody a good punch. The good old days. Funny how he has a conversation with Tommy Smith before walking off Funny quote from Kenny DuRING his four-year spell at Southampton in the mid-eighties, Kevin Bond was most famous for being physically attacked on two separate occasions while playing against Liverpool. The first time was in a meeting at The Dell. Pint-sized striker Paul Walsh floored the towering centreback with a right hook after being spat at following an on-field grapple between the pair.Reds boss Kenny Dalglish turned around to Walsh afterwards and said: 'If there's one person I don't mind you slapping it's him'.Three days later Southampton travelled to Anfield in the league, where this time an angry fan charged across the pitch after the full-time whistle and planted a blow on the uncompromising …

If they build the team around Torres then I think he will score loads of goals. But will they do that or continue with the 3 upfront? If they do that then Torres will not be as affective . I would not be surprised if Le Sulk and Drogba leave in the summer.

I started watching the Red towards the end of Tommy Lawrence time. He played 390 games with an average of 1.04 goals per game. Clem played 665 games with a goal average of .89 and Bruce played 628 games with a goal average of .85. As you can see the dominant Liverpool teams made it easy for the goalkeeper at that time! Clem was great in the air ( the ball in those days was more predictable in flight) and had great concentration, although like all keepers could make a howler or two. Bruce was highly unpredictable but at times brilliant. Tended to go walk about when he got bored! Pepe is one of the best modern keepers and has to deal with a football that moves all over the place in the air, and also playing in a weaker Liverpool team.

I was from Nottingham and for a while Forest had the hex over us. They played a game where they defended in numbers and played on the break to good effect. I can remember Hansen and co when playing at Forest passing the ball across the back for minutes at a time because Forest would not come out and try and get the ball! lucky for me I was able to attend the matches with my Forest mates so getting a kicking was rare. Larry Lloyd used to have a pub in Nottingham, used to run it with John Robertson. Top place for a night out if you ever visit.

Yes you are right. Nobody could probably afford him. Let him rot in the reserves. I know its an unlikely scenario but maybe one club could make a stand against these mercernary cretins

Nothing less than 50 million and never ever sell him to a PL club. Either he agrees to go to a club overseas or stays. Liverpool are bigger than any footballer no matter who he is!

Ferguson, the totally classless c*** comparing Liverpool to Hereford or Yeovil. A great mate of Roy, they go well together. I can imagine Rafa or Kenny sticking that quote up on the dressing room wall and asking the players if they thought it was funny! At the end of the day it's a cup tie and I'm taking it exactly that way," he said. "I'm taking nothing for granted. Liverpool will still be dangerous, absolutely. It's a cup tie and there are shocks in cup ties. There have been great reminders of that over the years, Hereford beating Newcastle, it's happened with Yeovil Town and York City, Bournemouth beating Manchester United. It's a tournament you can't take for granted."

Could the team just not have turned up and forfeited the match 3-0? Roy has reached way above his level of incompetence but the players need to take a good look at themselves as well.

If there are any players who read this forum...................what the hell is going on?

We should all be cheering the team on but once a manager becomes available who can take the club forward then RH should be dumped. He is not good enough to manage Liverpool.
