  1. bizarre crouch was obvious sub
  2. apart from torres and reina however skrtel and agger next year with decent full backs yes
  3. 100% right - they no longer looked worried about conceding and pushed forward unless he was injured - crazy decision
  4. cannot believe any supporter ever wanted us to lose a game after seeing that tonight i am gutted
  5. should have had two penalties babel and hyppia both fouled unless torres injured why take him off if he is then kuyt off crouch on
  6. by trouble i assume isolated punch ups, verbal abuse etc i have seen some of that and not always with football supporters i think we all assume there would be fighting but i think that it would be away from the ground and isolated rather than pitched battles "ingerland" style
  7. i wondered about it at the time too swap corner for penalty and there you have it actually am i imagining things or did somebody once pass a penalty to another player rather than shoot
  8. irish fans travelled to cardiff on mixed coaches for the carling cup final no trouble but coaches parked at united end and a few younger lads who were wearing liverpool colours got punched, spat at, chased. moscow may well be different but airports are secure places and are the last place you want to have a fight with armed police with twitchy trigger fingers i'm sure there will be some fighting in and around the city but there always is, often between fans of same team i just don't see there being mass running battles in a city like moscow because the police/military presence will be so intimidating that people will know not to f*ck around visa requirement will also restrict numbers i think its madness if as andy a said there are no turnstiles especially after last year but we have had all spanish, italian finals in the past and if an all english final causes mayhem and deaths well then maybe a ban will be justified but after uefa slapping inter on the wrist last year i expect that unless there was complete armageddon there would be no serious sanctions my only real concern would be a stampede or surge in the stadium and deaths caused by trampling but i have no idea what the ground is like but if a body of fans charge the other then that may be an issue
  9. i think we will concede early then concede a second and it will be game over but nobody will tell torres that who will score and run into the net to bring the ball back to the centre circle with 15 minutes to go in the 91st minute we get a penalty out on the right, gerrard swings it in and torres heads it home 2-2 that's how i saw it in my dreams might have a bet on that actually
  10. airports where there are armed police?
  11. who'd be manager?
  12. will be on their minds with need for visas etc how real is chance of violence
  13. that new camera they borrowed from american football gives some interesting perspectives (its the semi over head camera angle)
  14. nice way to undo my anti mockering
  15. Barca haven't really brought a save from VDS for all their neat triangles wonder if united will get nervy if it stays like this and invite barca on to them i expect lots of barca pressure, they fail to score and united wrap it up with a second goal on the counter
  16. don't follow you there
  17. " He has great powers of seduction" torres: I will sign for liverpool for 100k a week rafa : lets not talk money. I wine you, i dine you, I give you an oil massage and you sign for 85k a week torres: done
  18. i really think that if united beat barca tomorrow it will be a huge distraction at least for the fans for our game on wednesday with all that an united-liverpool final entails carra and gerrard would be one booking away from missing it and that would be on his mind more than missing any other final they have grown up in liverpool and know what it would mean to win such a game
  19. wonder if it will influence our game on wednesday i.e. united waiting for the winner may affect some of the players (gerrard, carra) who would understand the significance of such a game it would be potentially the biggest occasion in sport (certainly in this part of the world) for a very long time
  20. score draw will do and then maybe penalties we need to score a goal down there. if we do then its game on. no ifs, buts or maybes. every goal down there counts double!
  21. last 30 minutes of this game assuming we have not capitulated (as highlighted above) will be critical they will feel it in their legs after united game and will mentally start to hang on to their lead i'd save babel for that crouch can come on if we need to go long we need to score and that doesn't change if they get one - suits us to open the game up. we need to press them all over the pitch, play high tempo and be in their faces, tackle everything that moves and depend on fernando to take the chances that fall his way and hope skrtel can keep drogba quiet again
  22. so its a forum and thought i would share some info without opening a new thread
  23. not sure if its common knowledge but a certain man united squad member and often comes on a as a sub is about to be outed as gay
  24. do united have no sense of irony/the ridiculous? after game against us - lecture on respecting referees and then ferguson and queiroz with these outbursts they are obviously feeling the pressure - bust up with groundstaff etc
  25. rooney and vidic out for tuesday?
