Russell Brand accepts damages from S*n on Sunday 30 minutes ago Comedian Russell Brand has accepted substantial libel damages at London's High Court over a S*n on Sunday story which claimed he cheated on his girlfriend Jemima Khan. The 38-year-old sued the newspaper in January after it carried the story across pages one, four and five on 17 November 2013. Brand has said he would be donating the unspecified damages to the Hillsborough Justice Campaign.

After seeing Barry this season, and assuming we get him, it will be nice to have player who wants to get forward and attack, and make some balls to Gerrard, who in turn makes them to Torres. As much as I love Alonso, he always seemed to be a bit more of a long ball player. Yes, he was phenomenal at this and we played some great football with him, but it is obvious that Rafa thinks that things may be a bit more direct with Barry, It could well turn out that that the relationship betwen Barry and Gerrard turns it to the kind of relationship that some of us werent expecting between Gerrard and Torres. It could be the start of a beautiful threesome! But then again it could be crap and Alonso goes on to be World Player of the year

Difference being that I was making a comment on the topic of the forum. You just had a dig. You are very welcome to your views as am I , but one of the reasons I haven't posted on here for around a year or so was that I was just fed up with the amount of sarcasm and crappy comments people made for no reason. I was saying something about Barry and how I thought he would be a good player. Thats all. I just didn't think there was any need to come back with what you did. But as you say. I for one think that Barry is a great player, and have thought so since he started all those years ago. I think he would fit into our team very well. If it is 16 million then so what? We are paying for a very good English player. Spurs have just paid more than that for Modric. In this day and age when transfers are just plain silly, then I can't understand how we are thinking that 16 million pounds is a lot. Fergie is paying 5 million quid for a kid, who may be good, but I would much rather spend more on a guaranteed clas, which I personally think Barry is. I thik if and when he does sign he will be a very very good signing for us. If he is good enough for Gerrard then he is good enough for me.
