the fact is that its good business for the manks, much the same way many on here viewed Fowler, - capable of scoring goals from a half chance etc, but knowing full well either are not going to be the backbone of the strikeforce or start a lot of games. Fowlers earned his keep so far this season, I'd imagine Larsson will do the same there, not set the place on fire (theres a thought - would it burn?) but he'll do a respectable job nonetheless. Put it this way, who do you reckon will have more influence on their teams between now on March - Larsson or Shevchenko? A player who doubts if his manager views him as fitting his style of play or one in the twilight of his career given one last chance to shine on the big stage? To my eye, this is a good bit of business for them. A stop gap but we've seen plenty of useful stopgaps at various clubs down the years, Larsson will probably turn out to be one of the better ones.
