ant and kev are like vultures, I'm sick of reading about what great fans they are and how it's only their love of the club that makes them want the manager out. Saw it with Houllier as well with hijacking of every thread with Mourinho pleas or anti-houllier stuff..... This time it's different, if you love the club THAT much then surely the first thing, the very first thing that you do is get the cancer that is the owners out of the club, take stock, invest (meaningfully) in the team and then see what happens. The team in the second half of last season was fantastic and it was virtually the same team that are so abject now. Why is this the case? Has Benitez undergone some monumental metamorphosis or has the lack of investment in a team that was THAT close to winning the league sucked all of the confidence out of the players / the staff and the management especially with absolutely no light at the end of the tunnel? Until I see evidence to the contrary I believe the second of the hypotheses is correct. I haven't posted on here for ages and I haven't been to a match since last season. I don't go because I can't stomach the fact that the money I pay goes on an interest payment for two crooks who now control my club, until that situation changes I will not return and until that situation changes I can't condone the sacking or hounding out of the best manager that has happened to us for years.... rant over

take it that was directed at me? you know nothing about me so why lash out? This is the perennial SOS problem, you can't have it both ways, you either represent the fans or you don't! Judging by what is "allowed" to go on at the end of season party they don't represent me and ALL of my friends who are loyal reds but don't let the facts get in the way of an un-necessary swipe. I haven't posted on here for ages (but used to regularly) and in fact the last time I did it was about SOS then too. SOS cannot continue without some sort of action being taken against those that perpetrated the stuff on youtube (which frankly looked like a meeting of some far-right organisation rather than an attempt to rid the club of its owners). The majority of fans would find that video disgusting, SOS can not represent the majority of fans.

shocking....can't quite believe that anybody could be that stupid.....and then to put it on youtube....I've had little time for SOS since they declared their representation of ALL fans and became a multi-issue union, however any shred of credibility that they had has just gone.

Ok, so here goes. I haven't been a (regular) poster on this site for a few years now and have watched with increasing disappointment this SoS debate start (as all causes generally do) with great intentions and pretty much a single cause and then get skewed by this good cause or that statement. What has happened since is a slippery slide into releasing statements such as the Rafa one and now this one...as well as the whole "super-fan-ness" of it. I am a regular match going red, I love this club and I hate what is happening to it but I cannot reconcile what the SoS is doing either. They don't speak for me (although they seem to think they have the mandate of ALL reds judging by their perceived behaviour) I don't know if Michael Shields is guilty or innocent, so whilst I agree that he has a right to a fair trial (as does everybody) I am not sure why SoS or the club for that matter is going so public with the campaign. I don't care if the SoS thinks that Rafa is the right manager for this club (or not) and my honest response to that statement was "who the f*** do they think they are?" So whilst I applaud the attempts to sort out the ownership of our club and the commitment of the folks that put the hard work in to set the thing up on this issue they will never get my subscription, I would never want to see a fans representative involved in the day to day running of this club (unless it was somebody like Dalglish / Rush etc) and I think for the sake of all of those involved it would be better to be a single issue (sorting out the club ownership) lobby group than this "union"... Anyway, I'm sure I'll be slated for this but I care as much about my club as anybody else and want to see things resolved and the yanks out, I don't want "us" to own the club as we are too close to it we couldn't make the right "head" decision as our hearts would win every time.... My first long post here for about 3 years...ah well

Did you actually read my post? Pool what f***ing money? Where is this massive pot of money? He's had to go though a succession of slight upgrades because there is no pool of money....buying and selling.....pennant instead of mancini (or similar quality).... If he had the money he would have replaced all of the deficiencies in the team with quality he's not an idiot...the fact is he's had to be very careful where and when he has spent big.....
