could a sport not take off under it's own steam (not using the varcity route) through marketing, sponsorship and tv money? surely there are enough people for whom the varcity route is closed who would love to engage with a sport that is more organic (for want of a better word)?

credit to you for trying to get on. I can't imagine how it would be possible to talk about the issue in such circumstances without anger and emotion getting the better of you.
