Yeah I'm sure we don't have a problem of making our minds up, we've seen the game, I've seen enough times when he was involved. he was everything but excellent in any facet of the game, but if thats how you see it fine, but its not like the rest of us and pretty much everyone who watched the game, were complete oblivious to what was going on the pitch. Having a bad game isnt a new thing, but his absolutely minimum effort to track back, win a tackle, win a duel win anything, was the bigger problem. He looked like this was his first big match in his career, hell he played better on his debut against United in 2016 when he was a complete novice compared to his stature and career now. He wasn't the only one that had bad game, too many of our players were subpar, he though was the worst of the lot.

Speaking of opportunistic signings, Jonathan Tah's contract is up this summer. He's 28, but on a free, hasn't had an injury in 4/5 years, could be a good option to partner with Virgil when Konate isn't around.

The lack of effort is the biggest problem. When Dalot ran past him for their first chance in the first half, his lack of effort of trying to get back, was the most appalling thing.

Trent, retread back to our own half, in line with the rest of our defenders, Dalot enters our half, at walking pace, not a foot away from Trent, literally could had been holding hands at that point, and Dalot makes the run and gets passed him, and Trent is no where to be seen. Dalot makes the cross into the box that leads to the header that ends up going backwards. Trent didn't block or recover anything in that sequence. He blocked the shot from Fernandes, that was following the chance that Hojlund had, when he was caught out with the ball over the top down his side. Like I said, he was ok at best in that first half, his passing was off, but he wasn't winning anything to begin with in that half. He got catastrophically worse in the 2nd. He's had plenty of good games this year, including in the defensive side of the pitch. That first half wasn't one of those.
