    I just remembered that early on in the season, Trent was very vocal about how good Arne was, how much he's helped him, how much specific advice he's given him. Definitely a "I'm impressed and I might stay" vibe.

    I absolutely detest Michael Owen now. Unbelievably thick. Imagine a co-comms team of him, Ferdinand, McManaman and Richards. Christ.

    Gakpo picking up what has turned out to be a bad injury is really annoying. He was blamming them in loads before and taking the pressure off Mo.

    I replied because I've been critical of performances recently and looking forward to the summer business and then Hassony jumped on saying "oh yeah it's been a disasterous season lololol". Im not defending psl, he's been a thorn in my side recently. Happy for you to destroy him. This season, if we win the league, will have been miraculous. Way beyond wildest expectations.

    Well, replying in behalf of "the concerned". I'm not policing your concerns about the concerns of psl. But there are loads who are jumping on any time someone says "we're often playing a bit s***". Just like there are loads who claim we are s***, when we're not. You do sometimes seem to wind yourself up over very little. We're not s***. We're not playing as well as earlier in the season. I'd like us to dominate game on game, year on year.

    Don't disagree. There is a point where bad performances translate into dropped points though.

    Absolutely. And I'm probably being unfair to AM versus RB. We've got big and powerful in defence. Less so in midfield and up front. TLDR: Buy Baleba.

    I've always felt most comfortable with our chances of winning the league when we physically dominate teams - the best Klopp teams ran teams off the park and pressed relentlessly. Arne has shown a more technical way of doing it but I'd feel a lot better if we brought in some highly physical players in the summer to complement the Macallisters.

    I find it extremely unlikely he doesn't a say at all. Maybe it's more like the early Klopp years of the "committee" of which he is one voice with a certain level of pull. Been mentioned on here before but if I was Arne and we win the league, I'd be demanding the "manager" title and a bigger say on transfers.

    Always been the case. There are worrying signs about our performances and it's fine to be worried about that. Most are just settling on the idea that this isn't Arne's squad and we've done incredibly well this season in that light. It's all chill. No-one needs to police other people's concerns.

    I don't believe for a minute that he came in last summer and had absolutely no clue who he fancied managing. Managers and their teams carry round massive datasets on players. He might not have pushed it hard but there's no way he was happy with this squad.

    Agreed. Nice that two forumites can find common ground, unlike that contrarian c*** Hassony.

    Reading between your lines here, it sounds like we need to be very, very clever with our purchases to avoid a big points deduction on PSR and HG rules.

    Exactly. That said, and you always get characterised by Hassony as saying the team is crap if you say something like this, it feels like we need a real changeup in the squad over the summer. Combination of Arne bit trusting some players (who often look a level down from our first XI) and the contracts of the big 3. More Mo and Virg put in performances like today, the more you can understand why their deals haven't been easy to sort.

    As an aside, it made me laugh Ange doing the ear cup thing to the Spurs fans, then claiming he just wanted to hear them cheer, then today claiming he's the only one being positive about Spurs. Hasn't seen his own mug in interviews this season clearly.
