    Melissa Reddy's big piece about our dealings through the summer mentioned how highly regarded he is by all the top sides. Seems as though Newcastle nipped ahead of everyone in that January window

    Turns out the last minute decision to sign James Corden on loan hasn't worked out.

    We've been legitimising them by challenging them over the years. Think there might be a bit more of a sports washing conversation when they walk the league this season

    Yeah it's not fair on Carvalho to be starting him really, especially when we still haven't decided if he's a forward or a midfielder. But I can't think of other sides in the league who let sides play through them like we do. Feels like arsenal/ united of last season who are trying to build a philosophy but it hasn't clicked yet

    The fees we put up for Alisson and VVD were both serious, record breaking in in their positions. Like I said before, I think it's going to boil down our pitch to him, I can see Bellingham opting for us because he seems sound

    There was something in the Italian press saying we won't hesitate to cancel the loan deal if we can find a replacement in January. Doesn't sound ideal

    This is Dortmund's plan, and you can't blame them for it. Just have to cross our fingers that our 'pitch' is enough. As people have said before, that same plan did work with Virgil and Alisson
