This is the thing isn't it. As though we've got a load of cloggers in midfield (hello Newcastle, but they're allowed because they're 'physical'). We used to give away a lot of fouls under Klopp with the high press, but we don't even do much of that these days.

Maybe if Martinez added some kind of circular saw/ axe mechanism he might get close to being as good as Alisson. Maybe.

Yeah, you get a certain amount of medals these days and the club dish them out as they chose. We've only used about 18 players all season as well. Sounds as though we're looking to shift him though, I'm sure there are plenty of players who are available at a price, but once the club are briefing an asking price it looks like we're happy to do a deal.

Listening to the anfield wrap thing with Rory Smith before, don't think he's claiming to know much in terms of our business but he seemed pretty certain that Kerkez will happen. Seems like good business, Tsimikas goes and Robertson gets to play out his last year getting a decent share of games.

Yeah it would feel like proper succession planning, and you'd think that pathway would be a pretty decent sell to the player.

This is a good point, but it goes back to whether Slot doesn't trust the squad players he's got this season, or if it's just his wont to play the same 11 wherever possible.

Hmm, Newcastle could actually be one of the few decent sides who can offer him a starting place right from the off. Feel as though they might have other positions that need sorting first?

Going through the teams mentioned, There isn't a path to get into Arsenal's side. Surely everyone knows now that going to Chelsea is a bad idea. United are crap. Anyone else?

PSG are a brilliant footballing side, but I'm not sure if they've got enough experience to reach the final. So yeah, might end up being Set Piece FC. -

Feels like we can finally laugh at what a no-brainer these contracts were. Two of our greatest players of all time, who are also going to be first and second in all the player of the year awards.

Can see us sending the new fella out on loan again, might end up being a handy bargaining tool. Feels like next season will be alisson's last, just based on vibes.

Virgil for 2 years puts us in a stronger position with Konate. Not that I'm bothered about them driving a hard bargain or anything, but there was a scenario where we would be desperate for him to sign just so we weren't completely in the s*** next season. 2 years for the two of them also means we can crack on with proper succession planning for both.
