    Feels like we can finally laugh at what a no-brainer these contracts were. Two of our greatest players of all time, who are also going to be first and second in all the player of the year awards.

    Can see us sending the new fella out on loan again, might end up being a handy bargaining tool. Feels like next season will be alisson's last, just based on vibes.

    Virgil for 2 years puts us in a stronger position with Konate. Not that I'm bothered about them driving a hard bargain or anything, but there was a scenario where we would be desperate for him to sign just so we weren't completely in the s*** next season. 2 years for the two of them also means we can crack on with proper succession planning for both.

    I'm not a Dom-sceptic at all, but as some others have said, could see him doing a job in a few different positions. Suppose a lot of it might depend on what we do at number 9, but you can see why Slot might want more goals/ assists from that position if we're set up as we are this season.

    Watching the Villa - Forest game and thinking of the Szoboszlai chat, Gibbs-White and Morgan Rogers would both be a belter in that position for us.

    I think they are talking to people at the club. It's just client journalism where they're parroting whatever they're told in order to keep their contact book happy. It's why it's still interesting to hear what the likes of Pearce have to say, it's effectively a club press release. Interesting that they're talking up Endo now though. I'd still expect there to be at least one in and one out in midfield.
