  1. The last window where we were really excellent was in 2018/19 where we wrapped up our signings early in the window. 2019/20, signed minamino with no forward planning. 2020/2021, we needed depth in defence and instead we signed Jota and Thiago. 2021/22 - needed midfielder and a playmaker who could unlock defences, we sign Konate in the summer and Diaz in Jan. 2022/23 - coming on the back of a draining season where it was clear our midfield needed new energy and blood. What happens? We sign Nunez and Fabio Carvalho and then Gakpo in Jan. 2023/24 - it was clear to the world that our midfield needed a complete overhaul, the most glaring issue being defensive midfielder. We sign 2 midfielders (one of which was and is unproven) and Endo. In 5 transfer windows, we signed 1 center half, 1 CDM, and 3 midfielders (one which had a shocking injury record). Do you really need any further evidence of the ineptness of our owners and their inability to really invest in the first team? Klopp papered over the cracks. The owner’s won’t be so lucky this time. All this while a host of top talent went to other clubs. Compare our transfer windows to say Arsenal’s over that period and you will see the difference.
  2. We kind of do. Every year the club feeds the press that we are interested in so and so. We get linked to over a 100 players. Remember last year we were linked with Thuram and the other lad. Apparently we were close. Then we d*cked around and made a bid for Caicedo knowing that he was never coming here. We then got desperate and signed Endo. This has happened pretty much every season for the last 5 years. Why should this year be any different and why should we all of a sudden believe that the club is genuinely trying to sign world class talent with Edwards in charge. They are looking for bargains and “hidden gems” as this is how FSG’s model is built. I am not holding my breath on any major signings. We have glaring holes in the team - defence being the major - that the owners are not addressing.
  3. Areola is having a good game for them. What a t**.
  4. Hasn’t really helped us in the last 3 games.
  5. On this form, a crocked Trent is better than Gomez. He has been dire for weeks.
  6. Kind of maybe. We just need to win the next 3 games 5-0 and hope Arsenal drop points or at best scrape 1-0 wins. Then we are quids in.
  7. I may get vilified and ridiculed for this post but honestly I really don’t understand the negativity. No doubt our performance was not great but despite that we should have been out of sight. Having said that, let’s stand back and take stock of the season. Firstly, with our problems last season, if someone had offered me being 2nd level with the league leaders with 7 games to go, in the backdrop of a m*therf****r of an injury list that has taken half our starting 11, I would have snapped their hand off. No doubt the result is bad against this lot but it is a point won with plenty to play for. I am confident we can win all our remaining games. Let’s just enjoy it.
  8. Not if they are still fighting for a European place.
  9. Arsenal will drop points. If they win their remaining 7 games which will be 9 in a row, they deserve it. But this is Arsenal, so let’s not throw in the towel just yet. We have Jota coming back this week.
  10. Now we know why Caicedo looked so good for Brighton. Without Mac, he is about as useful as a nun’s fanny. Chelsea got proper fleeced.
  11. Guess the f*cking snide c*** poch’s comments worked.
  12. Other than our name and who we are, how attractive do you think we will be to manage us on a shoe string budget up against the likes of City and having to live up to the standards Klopp set.
  13. Not being properly backed by your owners for 3 transfer windows makes it even worse. I read it somewhere that he told the owners last March that he did not want to continue which was around the time the Bellingham announcement came out.
  14. Not with these lot. I wouldn’t hold my breath.
  15. If FSG had properly backed him and he did not go through the stress of having to beat City to the title season after season on a shoestring budget, then maybe, just maybe he might have lasted longer. F*ck off FSG
  16. They can f*ck off. We got the 3 points.
  17. Shi*tty calls for loads of teams except City, maybe??
  18. You assume our owners and transfer committee are competent enough to find that player and pull the trigger. That is a big IF. Knowing these incompetent buffoons, they will f*ck it up next year as well.
  19. And then there are people on here praising FSG and the window we have had. These lot are no better than Hicks and Gillette. Every summer for the last 4 summers we have seen the same thing - FSG’s media mouthpieces linking us to every midfielder on the planet only to slowly start to backing away and let us know that we are not interested in so and so because we could not get our first target. Given FSG’s track record, I don’t think we were ever seriously in for Caceido and I would wager that FSG knew he didn’t want to come to us. But heck it made good news and was a good marketing tool by FSG to tell the supporters they were willing to splash the cash. In reality, it is the complete opposite. Same goes for Bellingham. We made a lot of noise but it was never going to go anywhere. F*ck off FSG.
  20. So we have improved because we were ‘no spend’ under Hicks and Gillet. We are still sh*te in the transfer market. F*ck off FSG
  21. What’s Jurgen got to do with this. His biggest crime is probably to say we are not spending for the sake of spending and we will wait for the right target. He didn’t realise that these useless c*nts would never be able to find or secure the right target. There are a lot more incompetent buffoons at this club. Klopp is not one of them.
  22. I disagree. I don’t think it had anything to do with Chelsea bidding earlier. We knew that we had to buy a DM even if we had Fab. We could have bid for him the moment Arsenal pulled out but we didn’t because we were f*cking penny pinching. The fact that we were waiting to sell Fab is the issue right there. Arsenal, City, Chelsea, Utd and Newcastle don’t give a sh*t about whether they need to sell before we can buy. We are the only ones to do it. I am convinced that Caicedo bid was not really serious at all as they knew Chelsea were going to get him. I am starting to wonder that likes of Ward and Edwards probably left because they were fed up of having to work night and day within such tight constraints and find the right player. I would not be surprised if Klopp does the same. Then our business model really collapses because without a world class manager, we are f*cked. F*ck off FSG.
  23. I wouldn’t be surprised if Klopp decides enough is enough and leaves at the end of this season. He is constantly being hamstrung with incompetent buffoons.
  24. I don’t think they can. UEFA introduced a 5 year limit. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-12243443/amp/UEFA-close-loophole-Chelseas-600m-spending-spree.html
  25. They wouldn’t dare to sack him. He’s been covering their a*se for the last 5-6 years. If he goes, we are in a world of sh*t.
