  11. "Sooner or later our dreams will come true..." 'For a complete clearout, now!'
  12. As I said last week - he has all but joined them.
  13. LFC should sign him - he heads the ball far better than Crouchie Bring on Newcastle in the final - another 4-0 drumming

  15. Second game in a row - absolutely crap. Once again he loked like he was drugged. He hasn't played this badly since September/October 2005.
  16. They have the 'New Pele' - Robinho. The 'New Redondo' - Gago. and now The 'New Beckhenbauer' - Metzelder Add to that the fact that Atletic Madrid have The 'New Van Basten' - Torres The 'New Maradona' - Khun Aguero I don't know why we all don't stop playing football now and let them win everything...
  17. The overall result is just. Winning the way we did is like winning twice This victory is for my daughter. I haven't slept much recently but it's for her. Rafa planned for us to score quickly and then to defend and hit them on the break. Pepe is such a hero.
  18. In the live match report they strung up a picture of the front page of the Rag. What the f eck they playing at? Do they think it is funny?
  19. Why the name? he was one of my favourite players at Sevilla CF - narked that it didn't work out.
  20. because I'm sick of all those t***s in the Guardian who drone on and on about our results against the best of Europe being lucky and freak results. I'm fed up with all the c nuts who slag us of just because they are envious. I'm up to the eyeball of reading that our result in the Camp Nou was due to the fact that Barca are going through a bad patch. Dicks the lot.
  21. Valdes Puyol Thuram Zambrotta Marquez Xavi Deco Iniesta Ronaldingo Gudjohnssen Messi Eto'o to come on in early in the second half. Or Eto'o on first to be repalced by the Icelandic chav early in the second half. Eto'o is still not totally fit.
  22. Played host to a group of Japanese businessmen and their wives for Sevilla CF. In between trying to explain the offside rule and the genetic inconsistencies that make up a Spanish referee - last night's specimen was incapable of applying the same criteria to identical circumstances and was highly xenophobic: Marquez should have been sent off at least twice. Guily's red was a yellow and when Zambrotta call his father's parentage into question he should have turned a blind eye and a deaf ear - I did have time to suss out Rijkaard's tactical game plan before the ref butchered it. The Dutchman went for a 3-1-3-3 when in possession resorting to a 4-4-2 when Sevilla went forward. Valdes Oleguer Zambrotta Puyol Márquez Xavi Iniesta Gio Guily Messi Ronaldihno Oleguer (What a crap footballer he really is as well as being a complete t**) Zambrotta and Puyol with Márquez five metres in front as a potential sweeper infront of the last line - Márquez dropped back when Sevilla had possession to make the back three a back four. Gio and Guily were told to run at Sevilla down the flanks and to block Alves and Adriano going forward when Barca did not have the ball. Guily had orders to get behind David and pull the ball back. Rijkaard nearly got away with it - if Ronaldinho had not seen his penalty saved. Enormous Palop that's his third penalty saved from five against. Messi started off brightly but tired very very quickly. Eto'o was told before the game that he would be getting ten minutes no more. Circumstances dictated otherwise. His lack of form clearly evident when he was put through and failed to connect properly after Marti fumbled a clearance. It's one thing playing against one of the worst defences in la Liga (Bilbao) and a completely different universe playing against Sevilla CF. Good news for us: Xavi and Iniesta left the pitch totally knackered. Ronaldinho had a swollen ankle. Puyol was slow and didn't look comfortable. He lost his rag with Oleguer more than once. Barca are still very weak in the centre of defence - there is a lack of communication between the players especially at set pieces. Was also noticeable how easily the Barca players lost their self-control even when they were 0-1 up.
  23. Despite not being 100% ("He's not even 75% fit" said Cruyff after watching Samuel train individually yesterday) Eto'o has been included in the squad to play Sevilla tomorrow night. Deco and Thurnam have been left behind to rest - so they are starters for Tuesday. No Motta either - strange that. The list: Valdés, Jorquera, Puyol, Giuly, Xavi, Gio, Saviola, Zambrotta, Oleguer, Iniesta, Ronaldinho, Messi, Gudjohnsen, Márquez, Edmílson, Sylvinho, Ezquerro and Etoo
  24. and he spoke in Spanish! He's turned - the traitor "People should be punished". No, he wasn't talking about Bellamy or even the kenneled Fowler - he was referring to the twot who threw the bottle at Juande Ramos last night in the Betis (catetos) V Sevilla (campeones) match. Looks a bit fat does the Raffatollah.
  25. to be fit for the Sevilla game on Saturday and he is 'doubtful' for our game He's been given a special training programme to try and recover from the sluggishness he suffered after the Bilbao game and the pain he has in his groin. According to one source there is no way that he'll be able to play a full game for at least another week.
