  1. A functioning midfield, with good players for every role required, plus some cover so they don't all get 3 month injuries around January time?
  2. S Club. Ain't no other parties like 'em.
  3. Yes they do - as said above, taking their manager a month into last season is one thing, but pinching a dozen backroom staff as well, including the club legend / fan favourite who was groomed to be the next manager (Bruno Saltor) was another. And their chairman/owner Tony Bloom is magnificently cold-blooded about holding grudges if he ever gets f**ked over. Gets even, not angry. He's adored by their fans - can't think of many other club owners you can say that about.
  4. All of them will get √-1 as they're imaginary.
  5. Sorry yeah wasn't trying to be bleak, but Brighton have been really consistent over Caicedo. He's £100m. Hence they've rejected offers from Chelsea minutes after they're submitted when they aren't that number. In unrelated news: Brighton's owner & chairman is one of the best poker players in the world.
  6. Brighton have form for doing this. With Chelsea. And they'll probably fall for it again. There's almost zero chance we're in for him at the the money Brighton are after.
  7. Brighton rumours at the time are that he did - and it's £100m.
  8. 4) Elliott and Jones are sufficient. If we sign any other mids, it will "block their progress". Classic FSG messaging.
  9. Think Medina's gone cold too.
  10. Haha, it's probably my only nearly-specialist subject, based solely on going to local games in the absence of anything else. You'll have to factor in that I'm also probably a massively biased c**t who thinks that anyone who isn't VVD or Salah level is crap.
  11. Full disclosure - I go to a fair number of Brighton games as I live down there. Dunk is slow & not as good I the air as he should be for his size. He's also very reactive, doesn't anticipate at all well, so has to make loads of last ditch tackles and blocks. Good passer, though lots of those are to the full backs when they're drawing the other team onto them. Also prone to Skrtel-level balls ups. Obvs still better than Maguire but that's no benchmark.
  12. Brighton's midfield were excellent all season. They finished where they did with Danny f'ing Welbeck up front and two centrebacks who wouldn't get in our ressies (Dunk and Webster, Colwill only played part of their season I think?) Or to put it another way, Mac was a key player in winning the world cup, and Caicedo's numbers are very similar to peak Kante. But it is true them both being at Brighton is a little odd.
  13. Colwill not worth silly money. He's quick & a great passer, but not very strong & can be bullied by big forwards, especially in the air. Obvs might become VVD successor if he bulks up (thats never gone badly for us, has it?)
  14. You'd bloody hope so. Klopp vs Howe...
  15. Dress up as an orca, and headbutt Henry's boat till it sinks.

  17. Can't decide which way you mean this. Am cool with both.
  18. I can't take it anymore. VOGUE! So yeah, both.
  19. Think he's floundering myself.
  20. Agreed, certainly this season. Don't think it's even up for debate, given how the 7-0 midfield is something like 28-2 in 5 games they've played as a trio. Any other set of players isn't even close. Which is weird, as I love Thiago as a player. For whatever reason we just play better without him.
  21. https://sbbrisk.com/mc4xknwo0a1d.html Only downside is you'll have to listen to Tyler & Neville for 90 minutes
  22. Nope. Was watching the game. In real time didn't look anything like offside, and lino didn't flag. Then VAR get involved, disallow it using the wrong player. The official that misused VAR is John Brooks who apparently is Head of VAR at the PMGOL. Explains a fair bit about what a sh*t-show it's been since its arrival.
  23. This is what's keeping ing my optimism alive. Plus Mo has had 2 quiet games, and he very rarely has 3 in a row.
