I think the biggest thing last night was the difference when Curtis came on for him. Night and day. Now unless we think Jones is a £50m player, that shouldn't be happening. All the stuff about it being a scratch team etc is discounted when you see how well Jones played in the same position, in the same match. Right now, Jones should have his spot on the bench/team, as he just offers more. Hope that Naby comes good eventually, and that whatever the problem is he can get past it.

Right now I sincerely believe he's the best forward in the world. Which is nice given that 18 months ago we had a different one, who's still in the team :-)

Yeah I think Keita not kicking on yet has been one of Klopp's big frustrations. Milner I fear is about to go off a cliff, as he's *really* slow now, and seems to lose his balance much more than he used to, Henderson can still go into labrador-chasing-a-ball mode when things start getting tough, and he's not positionally smart enough to control games or calm them down. And Gini has brilliant matches, and then also ones where he disappears completely. So I think we're still looking for 2 centre mids to upgrade. Hopefully Keita is one. And before anyone says 'but we're perfect in the league this season' - yeah, but that's cos we've got the best forward line in world football, and 2-3 of the best back line. Our midfield is functional, a solid 6 or 7/10, and occasionally gets played through. We only have one properly excellent player in there, and that's Fab. Ideally we'd clone him twice. IMO.

Christ on a bike, we are so lucky. The *only* bad thing about having him as manager, is that it's gonna be virtually impossible to follow him - clubs don't usually get lucky enough to have a genius followed by another one, but maybe we'll find a Bob to Jurgen's Shankly.

Lo Celso is completely their Eriksen replacement - they must be almost certain he's off. Very similar player, remains to be seen if he's as good in the Prem. Ndombele was excellent for Lyon (though dipped for about 6 months when he wanted out). I'm hoping he doesn't settle, as he's very similar to the Leipzig version of Keita in terms of winning the ball, being technically very good on it, and being able to burst past people and pass. (and yes, I do watch teams who have players we're strongly linked with!)

Hmmm, hadn't thought of that though he seems to spend his time watching endless quantities of Ligue 1, when he's not out of the country being a journalist. Odds on him being a fyds-esque blagger are quite low...I think he just misses his playing days, so tries to stay up to speed. Though of course that may also involve FM.
