  2. We should easily get more than £12m we paid for Shaqiri. Injuries are only reason he isn't worth over £30m.
  3. He's a more proven player than Brewster who has nowhere shown he's a better player. He's more proven than Minamino, but he theoretically suits us better. I think he'd score plenty for a team that played him as a proper centre forward, like Ings has for Southampton. He was our 3rd top scorer last season going by goals per minutes played. I think our style just doesn't suit him and it's probably best for him if he moves on. He's turned down moves to leave in the past.
  4. No worries. You seem like you needed it spelling out.
  5. Klopp obviously thinks Brewster isn't good enough at the minute and would rather sell him. I doubt he'll ever develop enough creativity, of which he has none, to play regularly for Klopp, or for Klopp to want to spend £40m on.
  6. Origi scores goals when he plays. He didn't score off the bench last season but has scored plenty off the bench for us. We've no proof that Brewster can score off the bench, or score at all in Premier League or Champions League. Not every player can develop something that he's shown no ability to do. Why did he not just improve Origi to be a better all rounder then?

  8. There was a stage last season where McGoldrick was towards the top of xG charts without scoring a single goal. Origi just puts the ball in the net. He was our 3rd highest scorer per minutes played last season. Klopp won't play someone regularly who just scores goals and does very little else.
  9. Rumours it's a £40 buyback clause. I don't think we'd buyback at that price under Klopp, unless Brewster really develops a bit of creativity. He creates nothing at the minute.

  11. Thats a good deal. Did they say what the buyback fee was?

  13. Minamino's miss was worse than the penalty misses

  15. If Shaqiri isn't pushing for a move I'd rather keep him. Unless we're struggling to sell enough players.
  16. That's a good description of Wilson. He was a good young player who never really got better. Shame. He's been at Liverpool for about 15 years.
  17. I don't think Origi was that bad when he came on. Wasn't great but wasn't awful.
  18. Don't think that performance will persuade anyone to increase their bid for Wilson.
  19. Rhys and Neco Williams done well. Held their line. Minamino disappointing.
  20. No one playing too bad. Bad miss by Minamino
  21. Atalanta probably the toughest we could get
  22. There was about 7/8 games where Alisson let in every second shot. Never as bad as Mignolet but he had a bad run of form at the end of last season and against Leeds.
  23. I don't think he would've been if he had come through at Liverpool at that age either. He wouldn't have got the games to develop. I can only think of Varane recently to make it really young at a top club. Even Gomez had to play full back for a few seasons. It's just a really hard position for a youngster.
  24. I don't think he'll ever be good enough. I doubt the other young centre backs will be either. Few youngsters are good enough for that position. Get VdB on loan and sell for profit.
  25. Aye, the article said he hasn't developed as they'd have wanted and seems to be behind other young centre backs now.
