Konate has been as considered as Van Dijk this season. Both have had a few mad games but generally been brilliant.

Konate is in top 5 centre backs in the league. I was going to say top 3 but I'm sure there's others who play class when I don't watch.

I agree. I'm sceptical we'll be buying someone for good money to be his back up. Apparently they thought Yoro was amazing but he was too expensive to be a back.

That's all fair but Ornstein saying Huijsen would start shows he doesn't watch enough football. Unless Konate leaves he's a sub most games.

There's no chance Huijsen is better than Konate.

It's mad how good he's been. I think he'll drop off at some stage, and in some ways he has already. It's up to the recruitment team to get players around him to make sure his best qualities are accentuated. Get players with pace around him.

If he thinks Diaz is world class he probably thinks the world XI would have 10 Liverpool players and Christian Eriksen. Obviously we'd win the league.
