Maybe. Who cares? As if the club are curbing moves they want to make based on potential hypocrisy accusations. It’s made up and planted by Trent’s team and peddled to us by a willing mouthpiece. Trent wants to play for Real Madrid cos it accords with his perception of glamour. He’s a big boy. He can do that if he wants.

I was never into that Zubimendi signing. We were getting the guy who literally is the international deputy in the position for the team we had to take down.

I’ve been alright with it because my son had the sense to be born in this international week 7 years ago so there is never a clash with a Liverpool game. A younger me would be pulling my hit out though. I really wanted to go into this intl week in the next round of the EC and with the LC but falling apart just before it just meant I haven’t engaged with footy at all.

I’m a big believer in people are going to and should feel how they want especially as Trent is the one choosing to leave. It would feel odd if he garners less than this two though, given what he has done versus them. At that stage it feels like the onus is slightly more on everyone else

I think he really studiously afforded saying anything that was a commitment. There was the agent on sabbatical and I remember a post match interview , maybe Villa at Anfield, where he talked round in circles. -
