Weren't they a goal down? Figure players would try and stay up even now, when there's a better chance of scoring than going down and allowing the opposition to recover their shape. Who was the one that stepped on Massing's bare foot? One of them kicked the shoe away while the other stepped on his foot!
Yay, we lost! Can get the knives out now. We've been hopeless today and have hardly created a chance while always having a mistake in us, all over the pitch really. But its a new season, and you've got to give Brendan a chance to get it right if we've decided to keep him on at the end of the last season. Unless, you have already made your mind up to support Liverpool without supporting the manager. In which case, every mistake we make will be followed with calls of 'Sack Rodgers'. I personally think its ludicrous, the amount of disrespect that gets shown at him.
ALL managers play certain players in the squad that certain folks aren't happy about. Can't remember one guy who doesn't. Lovren had come along well till today. Lallana and Allen are injured. To disagree with his choices is one thing, why call him a t***?
But then I'd have thought that Lazar would just be straight up sold in that case, instead of being sent out on loan. I don't think there'd be a lack of prospective buyers, even though we wouldn't have got a lot of money for him. Usually, it is fairly obvious that once a player goes out on loan to a different country that there's no way back for him, but Markovic might potentially be the exception.
