  1. During training, Jude Bellingham and Antonio Rudiger had a serious clash. The atmosphere between the two players was tense." According to local media reports, Rudiger reportedly made a rough tackle on Bellingham first during the situation. Bellingham then reacted sharply, using profanity. While this could happen often, given the current atmosphere in Real, concerns are rising. The media emphasized, "The two players were seriously involved in a physical altercation, reaching the point of a fistfight. Luckily, other teammates intervened before Bellingham and Rudiger could fight properly." get rid of Bellingham this summer Spanish footy is f***ed if he doesn't get more than 3 games - Despite the severity of the foul, Real Madrid believes there is a strong chance Mbappé will receive only a one-match ban. The French forward apologized to Antonio Blanco immediately after the game in Vitoria, and Madrid is hopeful that precedent will play in their favor. That precedent came just days ago, during Matchday 30 (April 6, 2025), when Mario Martín — currently on loan from Real Madrid to Real Valladolid — was also shown a straight red for a reckless challenge on Getafe’s Juan Iglesias. The referee’s report stated that Martín was expelled in first-half stoppage time "for bringing down an opponent with excessive force during a contest for the ball." Despite the dangerous nature of the foul and being a repeat offender, Martín was only suspended for one game, which he served against Atlético Madrid at the Metropolitano. In contrast, Mbappé’s red card in Mendizorroza was his first since joining Real Madrid. Mario Martín, meanwhile, has been sent off twice before this season:

  6. exactly - not many fouls, full stop, are deliberate.

  20. yeah, the speed their brains move at can be quite a thing
  21. indeed - any amount of contact is ok
  22. seems that 'these days' the bar for contact & a foul is becoming lesser & lesser. I expected it to be given, and it's almost like compliments to the ref (and lino) for not - so compliments for doing their job...
  23. he could be as important as Virge & Mo in his own way soon
  24. nah - that defo wasn't a foul, there was slight contact from behind but Paqueta threw himself to the ground holding his calf - there was defo no lower leg contact. Right decision IMO. Didn't see the little Virge push on the defender before he leapt to head it but since the blue s***e got away with one on Ibou in the derby to have this then chalked off would have been sickening
