Diaz is playing out of position, which isn't working. Let him fight it out with Gakpo on the left and give Ni ez a run in the middle. Was expecting this to be Jota but once again his fitness isn't up to it
Yep, have wanted him in the team playing 10 against these low block teams. His vision is excellent, and he can pick quick balls through tight gaps
Was great for both goals. Very under rated
It's a momentum thing, which always feels dead important in football, and probably is.
If we'd had a stuttering start and then went on a great run to go 4 points clear with a game in and we'd be full of optimism. But Slot made us win all the games and never concede a goal, so now we're not at that level we're getting nervous. And we worry that our injury prone players will get injured
In short, win all our games, don't concede any goals
That's Jota all over, just back from an injury, eased back into the side, starts to look decent , then injured. Irritating
Start Nunez, no more forcing Diaz in at 9. Either Diaz or Gakpo on the left, they're exactly as good as each other
Does seem odd, don't get why he'd bother, but hope it's just cash based from him and it dies contain a break as others have suggested
The 115 charges has gone a but quiet, mainly due to the daft length of time it's taken to resolve but also because City have become a bit crap. Just get them messed up, the cheats
Yeah agree with this. As has been mentioned by others Diaz at 9 can work well against open teams, Spurs being the bets recent example. If we're against a team that defends deep we want a proper 9 occupying defenders and creating space for the wide men
Err...anyway
No one played well apart from Jota and Tsimi, and maybe Grav for a bit
And we still should have won easily. Let's start winning again please
Some poor performances but battered them last 20 mins, some decent keeping and poor finishing cost us the win
Back to keeping it simple, Jota up front and one of Gakpo or Diaz left.
I like this approach in general, although in this instance don't know how good he is..clearly skillful but not sure about end product. As long as we're addressing our problem areas too
