    2019/2020

On Tuesday 3 March the #FACup fifth-round tie between Chelsea and Liverpool will be live on @BBCOne

    The Treble

Adrian, Lovren, Matip, Origi, Minamino, Lallana, Shaqiri and maybe Keita or Milner will all play.
  4. The FA and the FA Cup itself is disrespecting the FA Cup by playing a whole round midweek. What would Stan Mortenson or Keith Houchen say? But at least no one is disrespecting the FA Cup by renaming it and literally selling out to sportswashing and human rights record laundering.
  5. They missed out on half a million they were never going to get in the first place and would certainly not got if Liverpool had played their first team in the first match.

    The Treble

I meant the Super Cup and Club World Cup and league. I'd say 50% for the Cup is a tad optimistic. Probably less than 50% to win tonight.

    The Treble

Think unbearables started around 2014 with rival fans (or what passes for fans on Twitter i.e. more fans of other teams' struggles than their own team's success) saying that Liverpool fans would be unbearable if Liverpool won the league. Now that tag has been reclaimed by LFC fans as, yes, we've waited 30 years and put up with your s*** songs and Gerrard memes so we will be unbearable.

    The Treble

We’re already 99% of the way to a treble. Would be nice to have a quintuple though.
  9. Actually think Hardy might make the difference here. Against Villa we were pretty until the penalty area and he’s an out and out poacher.

The Villa comeback The Leicester penalty The Fabinho and Salah City goals Bobby v Palace Origi and Mané v Everton Trent v Leicester Mané v Sheffield U Salah v United Bobby v Wolves No shortage of golden moments. And many more to come on the most enjoyable (potential) victory lap in history.

    2019/2020

I work with a diehard Manchester Utd fan who used to work at the club, and earlier in the season he said he was leaning to hoping Liverpool won the league this year, as he didn't want City to match United's hat-trick of "PL" titles

    2019/2020

When emergency centre forward Lovren arses in the last-second winner against Newcastle to pip Leicester at the post, it certainly won't feel like an anti-climax for me.
  13. Or they don't understand the flip side that VAR is only showing that referees are a) incompetent or b) habitually give decisions against Liverpool

    2019/2020

Forest drew half of those unbeaten games (albeit in an era when a draw was not a damaging result).
  15. Hadn’t quite realised how in-form Southampton have been. I had looked to February as an easy run after Christmas pileup and Spurs, United and Wolves in January, but this is a toughie. Would like to see Fabinho and Keita in to play through their press, and Originto hit. Everton form.
  16. Haaland NO King NO ighalo YES Finally United have a joined-up transfer strategy, with their manager, a striker who played in Norway, targetting strikers who have played in Norway.
  17. Bruno Fernandes would have filled that perfectly. Why don't we have someone like Woodward to get these January deals over the line?
  18. Who says the FA Cup is dead? A 53-pager on Shrewsbury still piping hot, while a league game in which we can go 19 (NINETEEN) points clear has a forlorn three pages and no updates in hours. Here's a new one - opposition fans annoyed by manager praising one of their players https://www.hammers.news/club-news/west-ham-fans-react-to-liverpool-boss-jurgen-klopps-comments-on-manuel-lanzini/
  19. Think that was a yoga pose when he pulled off that bizarre tackle late in first half

    Welcome VvD

The second half yesterday brought me back to those days BVVD when such panicky heart-attack inducing, opposition encouraging defensive displays were par for the course. We really need to clone him for the future.
  21. I have the perfect solution to scheduling issues which also fully respects the traditions of the competition. In the first ever FA Cup in 1871, Queen's Park and Donington School were unable to agree on mutually acceptable date for their game, so both teams were allowed to progress to the next round. No reason why the same should not apply now for Liverpool and Shrewsbury.
  22. No it doesn't, but no one will give a s*** in May.
  23. The only times we've come close to winning it since we did in 2006 (2012 and 2015) coincided with two of our worst league seasons in recent memory. I'm not sure anyone has really been arsed about the Cup since that Villa semi-final (and even then some weren't too dismayed to lose if it would hasten Rodgers' departure). The treble has only become a target in recent weeks as rivals fans and the media try to set up something for us to fail at/maintain interest in domestic season. Without the treble, without a CL win, without 100 points, without an unbeaten season, without a record number of wins, without the earliest ever PL win, this will still be an unforgettable season, one of our greatest ever, and achieved by one of our greatest teams ever and one of the greatest ever sides in this country.
