I don't really get the Coutinho love in here. Yes he was great for us. However the way he left was out of order. That alone is reason enough not to have him back imo. He's also really struggled at Barcelona, it might take him time to get his form back, if he does at all. Can we risk that with a one year lone deal. Granted he knows the system, but klopp has a history of easing new players in so he might not have an impact till after Christmas. I thought klopp was often praised for developing youth at Dortmund, yet when he seems to want to do the same here we're saying they're not good enough and we need to splash the cash and block youth players access to the first team. I don't know if Brewster is going to be any good, but I trust klopps opinion. Or would we be happy to let him leave and become another Sancho/De Bruyne elsewhere. There's a reason we're a magnet for young talent, because they know there's a route to the first team. Should we block that off by spending big on unproven players? Yes other teams around us are improving is that necessarily a bad thing? As long as we're above them does it matter if it's 20 points or 10 points? Also the better other teams are the more chance they have of taking points of man City. I prefer our defence to theirs. Having said all this I am slightly surprised we haven't gone for a backup to the front three. Klopp must really rate Brewster. Let's hope he's right.
