at 16 I doubt he'd want to commute from southampton to London everyday though. The most surprising thing about the report is the sum involved seems very high for what is basically a very good talent. One who can leave for about £3million in march as well if you beleive the reports.

The BBC are reporting that he's going to Arsenal for £15million. I for one will noly beleive this when it's signed sealed and delivered. As far as I understand it in 2 months he can go wherever he wants(pick up a big signing fee if he wants) for a minimal fee, set by tribunal. So why on earth would Arsenal spend £15 on him now? Also if he cannot sign a deal till he's 17 what is there to stop Southampton taking the money and Walcoot moving to Arsenal till march only to then turnaround and not sign a professional contract and move somewhere else. Anyway to keep this thread liverpool related. Reports in the past have said he's a liverpool fan, which is another reason I'm surprised he's chosen Arsenal over us, and various posters on here have said he will sign for us. I can't remember what posters or which sources they have, but has anyone got any idea if we're still interested or is he definetly going to Arsenal?
