I wouldn't say Carra and Gerrard are part of the problem BUT the big question is, despite their supposed KEY role in the team, we could still see some major weaknesses in their game - Carra's distribution and Gerrards pass selection.
I think Crouch wasn't in the team for a couple of weeks because he wasn't showing the right attitude. He's had a few stinkers earlier in the season which everyone seems happy to forget. The Arsenal and Blackburn appearances are probably a turning point for Crouch in Rafa's eyes. He earned the start v Besiktas with those two performances. Crouch was good last night, but you have to take into consideration the fact that no Besiktas players bothered to put pressure on him.
please tell me how to build a dynasty in three seasons? everyone wants to write off what Mourinho/Chelsea has done in the past season's, fair enough, I can understand what these come from. but saying Mourinho failed in the long-term? that's way out of order
If you really want MongKok and something really local, head off to one of the local diners (cha-chaan-tang) near Portland Street, one of them is bound to have the matches on.
Heskey's actually done very well with Wigan in these 2 seasons. Probably never good enough to be a player for a top-four side but still a very decent player. Now if only he could shoot...
http://football.guardian.co.uk/News_Story/0,,2144572,00.html Looks like Rafa has already got someone in mind...and somehow I've got a sneaky feeling that it's going to be Westerveld...
