In life, it's always good to have options and I think he has an abundance of them. He's won everything with us, it'll be s*** if he goes but honestly if players left us for nothing after winning everything it's less of a bitter pill to swallow. Another scouser made it good.
My gut feeling is that he will probably leave, I also think that whilst you could have argued this could have been sorted earlier which I agree with I think a series of events over the past 18 months have made this difficult
1. I wonder to what extent Trent entering into a new contract 12 months ago and for Klopp to leave may have been construed as bad faith
2. The seismic change in the clubs operations over the past 12 months have certainly contributed to a lack of development in all new contracts, and a need to focus in on key areas.
Whilst I don't think FSG can escape scrutiny if he does end up leaving on a free, I think it's more nuanced than simply them dropping the ball.
