He really is something special, I didn't think he'd handle the physical side of the Premiership but he's been class. Along with Aguero and Ballotelli, City have an awesome attack.

My concerns manifested themselves in yesterdays game. Luis was getting hacked all over the place but the ref didn't give him anything. And the commentators were also accusing him off diving, even the BBC text commentary accused him of cheating even though he was legitimately getting fouled. This was always my concern as I mentioned earlier in this thread, that he would eventually become victimised by the officials and it's started.

I'm having trouble telling Ballotelli and Richards apart. They look the fecking same with that haircut.

Football shouldn't even be an Olympic sport IMO. It's always been rubbish. And I don't know why the organisers have made this an under 23 competition. Where did this arbitrary age of 23 come from? Why not under 21, or under 18? And why have over-age players at all? It baffles me that Argentina take this crap so seriously, and I can perfectly understand why Barca were so livid that the Argies selected Messi for the last tournament. Players like Messi belong in the World Cup, not a pointless under 23 tournament.

Okay I have to ask, but is is mandatory to include Enrique in these lists? Because he seems to make them every week, even when he does absolutely nothing of note. He wasn't awful today but he was hardly great. Johnson put in a better shift but nobody has mentioned him!

True, we should not be expecting to beat the likes of Norwich at Anfield. We'd need to spend another £100M before we should be realistic about the prospect of beating the mighty Canaries. Being a realist, I'm thankful for the point we picked up today.

Downing has always been a slightly above average player so I'm not shocked by his performances. But I remain shocked at the transfer fee we paid for him. I hope he comes good eventually but I fear he's he's moved to a level he cannot cope with.

I think today's game has shown that Gerrard isn't at his best in a 2-man central midfield. Even against a weak team like Norwich his influence was non-existent. Rafa always found the best roles for Gerrard and Kenny should take note and play him a central midfield of 3 from now on.

Adam has been okay but it was his faffing about that led to their goal. Agreed about the other three.
