With Suarez banned (the appeal will fail, we all know it) we need to buy a striker as soon as the window opens in Jan. I have little faith in AC and so does Kenny by the looks of things. Hopefully we have a target lined up and a deal in place so we can bring him in as soon as the window opens.

Just seen Paul McGrath statement - unbelievable. What the f*** has this got to do with that drunken piece of s***? The number of people wading into this to have a go at Luis is appalling. They don't have a clue about the case or the nature of the problem, they're just lapping up the FA's verdict and condemning Luis on that basis. The club needs to continue to fight our cause in this and not back down one bit. We do that and these manc-affiliated scumbags like McGrath would be celebrating a victory over us.

I have a love-hate relationship with Dirk. He's never been the most talented player, in fact at times he plays like a pub player. He has a shocking first touch and nobody can figure out his best position. But he's become a success at Liverpool through sheer force of will. But hard graft will only get you so far and it's carried Dirk a long way but I think he's nearing the end of the road. What I will say for Dirk is that I think we might have made life difficult for him by converting him to some sort of right-side attacker as opposed to developing him as the central striker he was when we first bought him. But again he worked so hard at it that he became a success and even found that role in the Dutch national side. It worked under Rafa and it worked to a degree under Kenny but we are moving forward and I don't see Kuyt in Kenny's future plans. Personally I'd sell him in the summer.
