Some brilliant scenes last night. The Chelsea players were staying in Formby Hall resort and it was infiltrated with reds, armed with flares, chanting songs and abuse at them from the car park at gone midnight. Myself and Clay Davis went down but got followed by the police until we left. Haha, here's hoping they're sleeping patterns are ruined and turn up groggy today.

Plus he fancies himself as a sweeper keeper and it clearly doesn't come naturally to him. One day his short passing when the opposition are pressing will come back to haunt him. Also, his long range passes are no where near what Reina's once were.

Can anyone shed any further light on Rodgers' supposed contract demands? I think the 'greater control over transfer activity' is a given but is there much substance to him apparently requesting some sort of guarantee of stadium plans?

Defo respect your opinion but I was saying something yesterday - and this is the last I'll say of it as I don't want to come across as a hater of him. People are continually giving him excuses. I'm sorry but the unsettled defence reasoning just doesn't fly. Aa large proportion of the mistakes he's made have been down to an individual error that haven't necessarily come from poor play from the defence. Another year isn't going to change anything IMO. We need better. I like Simon as a shot stopper, he's the best in the league at that to be honest, but his confidence, handling, distribution and command of his entire box just aren't up to standard - they weren't at Sunderland either. Either replace Achterberg or replace Simon because it just isn't working for me.

Sterling, but would have been happy if either him or Skrtel got it.

I may be tempting cruel, cruel fate here but if we win the league unless Madrid come in for anyone and Barca don't get their transfer ban lifted where else would be more appealing to a player? Serie A if you're approaching 30 understandable, but would you like to go to London just because it's London? Some might but the majority wouldn't I would have thought. Even so, expect bids, but also expect little interest from the players themselves. The rest of the league know that this isn't just some strange twist of fate or a flash in the pan, it's clear to see from our style of play that the staff are building something at Liverpool. I think a hell of a lot of top players would be interested in that.
