I applaud the effort in getting the project off the ground, but the design of the banner is not to my liking and imo doesnt communicate the stature and pride of the club. And yes, design should - and does communicate. I also think the artwork is way off beam, and far too photoshopped. The style of the design (with a lot of shading, bevels and complicated visuals - note the depth of images and texture layers) will actually make it look smaller than it really is, whereas a cleaner design using flatter colour and more negative space would feel bigger and more imposing. Just my tuppence worth. Again, good that it got off the ground and it has been made. Hopefully the project will continue and more will be produced, and I would certainly willingly get involved next time now I know of the initiative.
