  1. They are indeed.
  2. Exactly it. When you spend that sort of money you expect to buying a near finished article...rather than raw potential. At a young age it's always an issue.
  3. It remains to be seen if he is the player some folk got carried away into thinking he could be. He banged in goals in the championship and had a good first third to the season with Newcastle. He has shown those flashes for Liverpool but you'd have to expect will get better when he's used to the system/the players around him. There's no guarantee, he's not performed at the top level for years and years which is why the fee suprised me somewhat. He has the potential to be a hell of a player mind...time will tell.
  4. The goal he scored for England shows the quality Caroll has.
  5. What definately wants to be avoided is hoofing the ball from defence onto his bonce from 50 yards. The way I think you'll get the best out of Andy Caroll (FWIW) is to have a player like Saurez buzzing in and around him. I can see the pair of them causing problems. The other way is to deliver real quality into the box for me...a good crosser of the ball will get a player like Caroll an extra 10 or so goals a season in my opinion.
  6. Why thank you kind sir. Told you I wouldn't sour the place Al
  7. Saurez causes problems anyhwere along that front three. He's scarey with the ball at feet, even scarier when he cuts into the box. No f***** wants to touch him. Once Carroll gets a full pre season behind him and is fully fit you'll start seeing the best of him. I think he was overpriced but then again the market was bat s*** mental.
  8. not sure Scholes was expecting that...see him pushing Gary away as if to sasy f*** off?...he looks like most lasses do when I try sticking my tongue down their throat.

  10. Mata is all sorts of a class act.
  11. I'd say that's a trick employed by the blue half and the likes of Chelsea with United tbf. That's only being recylced from the Mirror I think. I'd be amazed. City will come on with a stupid bid and that'll be that.

  15. Probably not, papers are awash with this figure. Not this it means owt.
  16. I have a sneaky feeling Adam will fit in well and Henderson will develop quickly. He has undeniable quality but may have benefitted from another season under Bruce at Sunderland. Thought 20 million was steep but given the barmy transfer market that's neither here nor there. I don't rate Downing, and never have.
  17. He's a talented kid who has had his progress stunted at Chelsea somewhat. Always looked a special player in the making in the City reserve side. He needs to be playing some part week in week out. He hasn't really had a fair craic at Chelsea yet but may do if Drogba is off. Think he'd do well at Liverpool for what it's worth. Interesting insight that. Not another Reo-Coker, Carlton Cole type? 70 Grand a week? Cheeky little f*****. No sympathy for him now.
  18. hehe. One more for a five a side
  19. Konchesky is one of the most laughable signings made in the last decade. The entire footballing world knew he was a bluffer who was never good enough to play for Liverpool. I still think Bebe was born out of Carlos having a thing for homeless rent boys...Bebe was holding him to ransom...
  20. It'll end up quite the top flight party. Cole, Andy Reid and Anderson will make a great support group.
