He wasn't s*** from day one. He scored 7 goals, and was stupidly and wrongly dropped when he scored his first goal. The problem was the partnership between Gerrard and Torres didn't need breaking up. I just don't get how someone who scored 7 goals in 5 months is supposedly s***, and someone who did f*** all for us over 6 months is supposedly worth keeping. Just saying.

The problem with Keane is that him and Torres wasn't as good as Torres and Gerrard. He showed glimpses, just like Aquilani.

Also one thing, in response to Benzo. Why does Keane get more s*** than Aquilani despite the fact Keane wanted to play for the club and actually contributed a few things. They both cost roughly the same amount as well. Just Sayin

I think thats because the vast majority of people know how good he can be. Obviously I feel we should get rid, but he's played at the highest level for a long time.

It's irrelevant. We need to get these sort of players on the wage bill. We've been paying players like Aquilani far too much, and they need shifting. They haven't contributed enough to this club to justify their wage bill, or to justify their presence in the squad. We've spent a fair amount this summer, and no club in their right mind would be able to justify doing what we're doing and having said players on our wage bill. That goes for Degen, Cole, Milan etc Hodgson couldn't manage us properly that was the problem. Not his approach. Well his approach was the problem, everything was the problem. But under Kenny we've been more concerned about ourselves than anyone else. Confidence in our own squad was displayed by Kenny when he started laughing when Robinson was coming on. He's just got a different mindset, and dare I say a stronger belief in his own squad.

If he was good enough the club wouldn't be bothered about the wages but he's clearly been outlined by Kenny as one who needs to be shifted. Loan or otherwise.

60k is far too small. Take away the corporate attendance and the away fans you're only looking at around 11,000 extra tickets available for home fans. Which barely makes a dent in the Season ticket waiting list.
