  1. The problem they have is that to move WBR would be REALLY expensive for just adding what would be low cost seats make it hard to justify. We'll see once they have done the Main Stand and the Anny Road. And as said above you go above 60k you have to sort the transport issues. Making it more expensive. I would probably make more sense to bulldoze the Kemlyn and Skerries road as at least then they can add more premium seats which help pay for the expansion. Just the world we live in today.
  2. He hasn't tweeted anything of the sort. Prob a fake account that got picked up and retweeted.
  3. It would be completely unworkable across different countries with different tax regimes etc. One country would end up coming out being able to pay more and all the talent would end up there in 5 years time.
  4. I never realised he was 31.
  5. I believe FFP is the correct answer. They just made it through last time. And the next years figures need to have less losses. They're apparently actively trying to stay within the rules and are supportive of the regulations (more to stop any other money bags clubs from appearing than out of financial prudence though)
  6. Why wouldn't they? They're paying 25% of his sell on fee to Bournemouth. If we had someone offer 20 mil for a player we'd almost certainly tell them to up their offer if it was a player we didn't want to sell. We'll probably settle somewhere in the middle.
  7. The decks have been cleared at CAS so that if appealed it should be done before the start of a season. Wenger seems to be gunning for them so we'll see if Arsenal go after them for a ban.
  8. They won't sell to us. He is good though. I don't know if we're in the biz of buying players to loan back out but it might be an option. He has been good when I have seen him this season.
  9. A lot of that 50mil was from the write down from the Hicks Bowl. Along with contract write offs. We should be good going forward now.
  10. The only reason PSG will get a smaller punishment than city is they are likely to accept the offer. What they did was even more take the pissy than City. But they have apparently been caught bang to rights and are accepting of it. City may well get a higher punishment because they didn't settle.
  11. I don't think they'll take 20mil. Bournemouth apparently get 25% of the sell on fee leaving them with just 15.
  12. They were time wasting within the first minute to try to stall our fast starts. We looked like we could have played 200 minutes and not scored. He may be a c*** but he knows what he was doing but I don't know how I'd feel if we ever used those tactics.
  13. It appears to have started by extreme twitter bulls*** account IndyKaila.
  14. I believe its not quite as high as that after they asked everyone if they still wanted to be on it a few years back. Even if it was 30k it's doesn't mean we'd instantly get 30k more people coming to the game. A lot of people on the list go anyway through general admission or sharing tickets.
  15. The current phase planning is up to 58.5k with the Anfield Road complete. If they have any plans for Kop and Kemlyn nothing has been shown or leaked. I would think there are options to add some corner towers to bring it up to > 60k but that is where we will stay for a while
  16. I think they're good learners. They were bumped into employing Kenny full time as his results were above expected when he took over from Woy in the first season. I don't think they will make the same mistake again. Realistically they made the right decision on Torres. But the wrong decision on replacements. Which is certainly one of the reasons we're taking a *much* more considered/ponderous approach in the transfer market.
  17. They made some mistakes in the beginning. And work still needs to be done on the transfer dealings. But they're certainly heading in the right direction. I realise some of the fanbase may not think the same as Hicks also put up some pretty (but utterly stupid) renders. However given how far along we are with the Council and the fact they have secured the homes i think we're nearly there.
  18. Correct.
  19. The final renders have been published by the echo. http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/liverpool-fcs-anfield-stadium-spectacular-7020144 That is a big f***ing stand. Holy s***. Oh and it appears the Albert will survive. Its been added back to the renders.
  20. Its exactly this. They could have slipped the remaining landlords a million each to bugger off. If they did that, next time it was needed (as an example Skerries road, which is unlikely to happen) every single owner would want a million. Also the council was the one handling the last sales.
  21. Did this get posted earlier? Joe Anderson saying all the houses have now been bought up? @hitman8976rawk We have now completed buying all the properties around ground so things will start happening quickly at last, apologies. Joe
  22. As cynical as that is it's probably not far from the truth. The architects would no doubt make more money from a full new stadium than a couple of stands as well. I can't believe this has take 12-13 years to final happen.
  23. According to stuff from Anfield4ever at the time it was 55k. Which was the same size as the then mooted new stadium project (which then went up to 60k) This is the statement they issued at the time when they basically gave up as the club weren't listening. http://www.lfconline...390/index.shtml a) Yep it was b) Parry probably never thought to ask. c) The Hick's bowl was a horrendous vanity project. However at that point it was never a choice between expanding Anfield and a new stadium. That had been ruled out years before. It was between the Parry Bowl and the Hicks Bowl. So naturally a lot of fans went with the Hicks one as at least it had a Kop. I'm very glad either option never happened. What horrendous times they were.
  24. This was the plan that was presented to Coco and Moores to expand Anfield. Anyone moaning about the new design (in fairness it's mainly manchildren on RAWK) should just take a look at this clusterf***. There was never the will to make the tough decisions back then. It is literally a stand from the Parry Bowl and a 2 tier kop.
  25. They have changed the roof structure so the diagonal supports aren't needed. And a few podium changes - removal of outbuildings. They might be going back in though. I saw the renders a few weeks back via my company and there may well be updated ones this week. I have nothing to do with the architectural work/structure so what i saw may have been different to my untrained eye! The original leaks were the closest to what i saw though. I'm actually surprised that things didn't leak a while back.
