  1. roy was my protege. Really though, I tempered my feelings over the past few days because I thought we'd at least get Jones. We havent, and I feel like my grandmother has been mugged by youths.
  2. So we sign an average midfielder with possible potential that noones really sure about fro £20M, and we miss out on Jones, the player that looks far more promising and would actually fill a massive hole in our squad. I see. Is everyone still taking this all with laughs and giggles?
  3. Slept on it, still dont like it.
  4. As i said ealier, if Carroll was £35M then Ngog shouldve been about £50M. We lost out twice here I fear.
  5. Let me get this right here, we've just spent £20M on a single soccer kicker and hes not a game winner? I see.
  6. Utterly ridiculous. Shall be crying myself to sleep tonight.
  7. If Carrolls valued at £35M we should sell Ngog for no less than £50M.
  8. well henderson wont get a game frequently because hes not good enough to play against the bigger clubs, so thats one out of the picture. Aside from that we're fairly light in that area anyway. Only Gerrard, Lucas and Spearing were first team last year and I sure as hell dont want to really on Spearing next month, let alone the coming seasons.

  10. I hope thats not a sleight on my significant other.
  11. WHAT??!?!?!!? :D Why is £10M for jeffren "mental"? Hes rated amazingly highly at Barcelona.
  12. Its posts like this that boil my blood. Its not one extreme or another. Theres an obvious middle ground here, that I wont go into too deeply because its a fairly simple premise. Also, Henderson is costing a lot more than £20. Maybe thats where the confusing is arising.
  13. Well my current save on football manager has seen me win 4 consecutive league titles after rising from the spanish lower leagues to la liga supremacy. I dont think you can argue with that.
  14. this post is monstrous. firstly - name me an "up and coming midfielder" that has cost anywhere close to £20M. Secondly, Carroll should not be defined as a top striker, he was at the top of the scoring charts after half a season (which doesnt mean a lot really) and he certainly didnt look like Big Al to me.
  15. ill do it tonite. Ive to study yano.
  16. Ill do this tonight actually. Prepare your reading glasses, youre in for a treat.
  17. Just clarifying my position before people, once again, decide to have a snipe with no fundemental factual basis.
  18. Speaking for myself I made no such "lambast" at the owners for spending a low net amount.
  19. what point is it trying to illustrate? Because all that says to e is that we're taking unessecary risk by going for the top lot instead instead of the bottom two.
  20. what? Id say my scenario is far more likely than yours. Stop being daft.
  21. hed either move for about 15m to someone like spurs or villa or hed stay at newcastle and be a geordie hero.
  22. all this talk of a bidding war doesnt add up though does it? are people really suggesting that a bidding war wouldve seen the fee rise beyond £35M anyway? Because thats nonsense.
  23. Everyone in the world knew we had that money, yes. But if we hadnt got trigger itchy on deadline day or whatever, we wouldve scouted properly instead of going for the first "prospect" our eyes fell upon.
  24. That makes me want Gerrard back on the right. OH THE MEMORIES
