The whole wage bill issue is depressing the life out of me right now. its criminal to think what players we could have been after if we didnt have all these prats hogging up the seemingly limited wage pot. When the likes of Pastore goes for ~£40M, you know we could have some sort of mega team now if the club hadnt been left in a state by roy. WOE IS ME.

Not a troll actually. Give my opinion, get hounded, get whined at for less than nothing, report more than my misdemeanours which are apparently less criminal than my "crimes" and it spirals from there. if people calmed down this could stay sensible, as i intend through out.

im rofling here. let me compose myself. ok done. im not around long enough to prove either way, via posts, as to whether i was for or against lucas before it became vogue. that makes it all the more baffling that you tried to say i wasnt. youll have to take my word for it that i was never against lucas. lets not try to make popularist posts in future.

well thats just silly. and to all those mentioning the wage bill - study my original post. nowhere do i allude to "transfer budget". i talk about money, which is obviously restricted if our wage bill is a problem at the minute. whatever the reason behind it, it still begs the question as to why we've decided to go midfield heavy when the defence has basically been ignored thus far? what happens if we cant shift these big earners?

well im hearing that we have to sell to buy now, which has gone a little way to confirm my previous fears. why spend over the odds on three midfielders when money is limited, and other areas of the team are worse off?

would rather have seen the defence addressed than another midfielder added to the hoard. i dont think he'll be up to the standard of last season either, but the saving grace of this transfer is that the fee is within reasonable range.
