I mean, the mere fact Adidas are refusing to match it says it all imo. If Adidas cant afford to pay it/ dont want to they dont think they can make enough money out of it to justify such a big fee. If Warrior on the other hand can, it tells me theyre confident of making a lot more money out of it, which benefits both us and them. Jeeeeeeez.

A few pages back but im not sure why people would complain if we ended up with these players, maybe Downing aside (and thats only because I dont think hed be value for money - at a good price hed improve the squad). Jarvis and Adam play for small clubs, yes, but their level is well above that and thats pretty evident. Jarvis will give amazing width, is fast, and can cross a ball. Funny that eh? With Carroll we may want good crossers? Sahki and Cahill would be the perfect mix of youth and experience that would improve the squad as it is and in the future. young speaks for himself.

Lucas :*) Its all coming to light now what exactly Rafa seen in him. This season has been HIS season and its great to know we've a reliable midfielder - I think it goes a long way to say that most people know and accept hes playing every week, no matter who else is fit. Its always always always Lucas plus others in CM, which is a great indication as to his standing within the squad. His positional play is excellent and his passing is good. His tackling is also getting there and he looks like a well above average deep playmaker/destroyer type combo. In fact I dont think that description does him justice because his exact game is hard to describe. Does he destroy? Yes he does, but hes not a Mascherano. Does he playmake from deep? Yes he does, but hes not an Alonso. He seems to be a happy medium between them all, and personally I think he works well because his unique style allow him to form partnerships with a lot of different styles of players. He would work well as the more forward thinking with a proper DM and he would also hold his own as the DM with say, Meireles, beside him. Great season, great player to have. And to think Woy was winging him out the door.....

If its about the money im on the fence. Can understand the guy needs to sort himself for his life due to the shortness of a football career. That said, if you loves the club as much as he says then an extra 10k or whatever the problem is, which is likely to be not a great deal compared to his takings anyway, we should escort him to the exit and close the door behind him. Precedent needs set and it galls me to see all these guys who apparently live for the club, Gerrard and Carragher especially, who are on so much money, that if they say, dropped 20k each, theyd not even notice it plus the club would be in a better position to buy players and advance the club they "love". Shameful really.
