  1. nah, more than likely be haloperidol if anything.
  2. who tells you all these things Kev? Does it have wings and live in your hedge?
  3. Well I can understand why people wouldnt want him at the club if he was going to upset the harmony, however lately he seems to have turned over a new leaf. Im not one to bear grudges, so I find it hard to say he shouldnt be given an opportunity because of (admittedly numerous) events 3+ years ago. Other reasons for him include hes in good form, he'll be cheap as chips and he knows Carroll.
  4. Precisely, and that alone is the reason why we should give him a chance. Its a risk, but if hes keep things quiet and legal, hes more than competent to be a squad player. I missed you too Swipe xox
  5. not another fletcher? Baffling. Fletcher is probably utd's first choice. I deliberately put it in to have people scoff.
  6. At the right price I think hes a solid squad player. yes. Utd just won a little with the likes of OShea and Fletcher after all.
  7. thats just a load of bumfluff, quite frankly.
  8. So was your source last updated three years ago or was that his last misdemeanour?
  9. i dont see why lucas in the team and barton in the squad would ruin those dreams?
  10. right and iniesta and xavi arent the norm. we wont ever be there, unfortunately.
  11. christ, wondered how long it would be for someone to have a pop at mr leiva. get a grip, best player last season by a long shot.
  12. Sorry yeah, I should have qualified that post so that its based on him staying out of trouble. Thats no certainity but given recent behaviour anyway, it suggests he could last here.
  13. Just after reading elsewhere about Barton and knew people would be up in arms on here For no reason either. Lets examine the facts: 1) Can play RM or CM - this is good for squad diversity 2) He knows Carroll well - this is good for him to slot in. 3) Hes a scouser - he'll "get" the club. 4) Hes a tough character - this is what we lack in midfield. 5) Last season I say a player that was actively avoiding trouble the majority of the time. 6) Hes massively underrated and solely because of his misdemeanours. 7) 1 year on his conrtract so he'll cost peanuts. Show me a downside. We cant have a squad made of superstars ffs.
  14. agree wholesomely, ive just realised my last post could perhaps seem sharp in tone. unintentional my man.
  15. I dont think any of could have predicted the time, but we all knew it was coming sooner rather than later?
  16. Really hope we start a few kids in this game.
  17. I can see this thread being undermined by my typo
  18. Everyone is well acquainted with Gerrards unique abilities, namely his drive and energy that can aptly pull the team from the jaws of defeat. There is plenty of evidence to suggest that hes on the wane however, and that coupled with our current form has got me thinking about where he slots back into the team. Will he be satisfied taking over the direct role replacement of Spearing for instance? In this case it would be more perhaps purposeful to buy a better DM to play instead of spearing, rather then push Gerrard into that position. But that of course doesnt get him back into the team. Meireles then? Once again his natural game isnt Gerrards. All in all it appears that the team would have to be reshaped to fit Gerrard in. The problem is, especially given current form, is this a wise move? Just to clarify, this is not a Gerrard Out thread. He's still got plenty to offer, but I do find myself thinking if its the stage of his career where he doesnt play every game.
  19. the clever post would have been "you and who else?" as such youve just fulfilled a bit of irony given your complaint about childish lame things.
  20. Theres only one joke in this thread. Well, two.
  21. Its everyone elses as well mate
  22. Bring up as in move to the computer. Defending the indefensible is silly really isnt it?
  23. Bring the boy up and let him defend himself, thats my point.
