Think everyone must have It's a very interesting point i thought. The Yanks whole "800m valuation" is based on the fact that a new stadium would bring in X-amount of money. They've literally based their valuation on this despite having not provided the stadium for the potential purchaser. What is being said here is to ask the Council to take that option away from them. If there's no agreement for Stanley Park then the Yanks valuation goes down. If it comes down it becomes a more realistic price for someone looking to buy. If it's a more realistic price they get interested. Thye get interested then the put in an offer. They put in an offer and we hopefully get rid of the Yanks. It's all good. Mail the Council. Remember, 2 minutes of your time can make a massive difference. Do Something. YNWA

The Blackstone Group / GSO Capital Partners E-mail addresses
fansvslfc replied to RafaShanks's topic in Liverpool FC
Sent to all those email addresses. Got the Mack Hicks thing too. Just replied. Nice one - let's keep this up -
There was a Chelsea fan spreading lies about Hillsborough on some American radio station. His name totally escapes me. One of the guys who used to post here went after him and eventually it resulted in the guy getting sacked. Who was the forum poster that did that work? If they're not here anymore how can i contact them? Thanks

I have made contact with the company reported to have been talking to Tom Hicks. I have left their details below. I would ask you also contact them to let them know how we feel. Let's get at these.. To whom it may concern, I am a fan of Liverpool Football Club and I read in the English media with interest that Blackstone are planning to join forces with Tom Hicks in a venture that secures you part ownership of Liverpool Football Club. You may or may not know the hatred that Liverpool fans have for Tom Hicks and his current partner George Gillet but I am here to tell you that the hatred of both of these men for the position they have taken our football club to is real and beginning to grow with each passing day. This email is to advise that if your company choose to join forces with Tom Hicks in a venture concerning Liverpool Football Club you will be making a huge mistake. There is nothing here for you if you are in partnership with a man so reviled in these parts. The fans of our club are not going to stand for Mr Hicks and Mr Gillet's asset stripping any longer. We are now fighting back. Amongst other ideas we are currently liaising with Liverpool City Council for the Council to reverse the agreement of land on Stanley Park where Liverpool FC were planning to build a new stadium. We are pressuring the local Council not to allow Liverpool FC, under the current ownership of Mr Hicks and Mr Gillet, the lease to this particular the area of land or indeed any other land in the Liverpool area where a stadium build may be possible. The stadium is the single biggest factor in bringing in money and we are taking steps to remove this revenue stream. If you think that the current stadium will allow you a decent return on any investment you are mistaken. Without a new stadium you are throwing money away. In addition there are plans to boycott games and a half full Anfield stadium really isn't going to help you. I personally have already stopped going to games. A friend of mine has already given their season ticket back. Numerous others are saying they will not renew if Hicks and Gillet are still in charge next season. Nor will it help when our campaigns against club sponsors begin. Nor will it help when we march on the offices of Liverpool FC in the City Centre and the police come knocking on your door to pay the bill for the extra manpower it requires to police the marching numbers. The Royal Bank of Scotland have already called off an open day in their offices in Scotland because they had heard that Liverpool fans were to make the long journey North in order to make our point in person to their hierarchy. No distance is too far. We will make ourselves known and we will make ourselves heard. If you know anything about football, and indeed this football club, you will know that it is unique. You will know that when our club needs support there are no other fans quite like ours to give it. The support is known the World over. You will also know that when Liverpool fans believe in something then we will fight for that belief. Tom Hicks and George Gillet have had it easy so far. As fans we have trusted that the board of LFC are trying to do the right thing in selling the club but we now believe this is not the case. We now believe that Tom Hicks and George Gillet need to understand our feelings towards them and this begins now. Take into account what I am saying here. Check out what revenue streams Tom Hicks is telling you there are and know that I am going to go after each and every one of those revenue streams with a view to making them put pressure on the club to end the ownership debacle. You do not need the headache and the hassle that we are about to stir up. We urge you not to join Tom Hicks. He is hated. His partner George Gillet is hated. If you join Tom Hicks you will be hated. The fightback against the hated owners and asset strippers of LFC has begun. Don't be part of the problem. Kind regards Fans Vs LFC ------------------ Want to email these guys? Do it. Mail: info@blackstone.com and BlackstoneInvestorRelations@blackstone.com Do Something. It's our club. Let's fight to get it back. YNWA

As mentioned in an earlier post i recently (July 2010) wrote to Liverpool City Council. Want to join me and Do Something? Send a similar email to mine asking Liverpool City Council to withdraw the lease/contract for LFC on Stanley Park while the current owners are in charge. The owners business plan is built mainly on the fact that a new stadium would up the revenue streams massively. Let's take that away from them. Let's take the single biggest reason for them to be here away from them and continue to take action elsewhere in the knowledge if any fans of any club can come together for a purpose and win it is ours. Join me. Do Something. The email sent in the first instance to Council Leader Joe Anderson and then copied to all Councillors as per below: Dear Councillor Anderson Due to the ongoing ownership upheaval at Liverpool Football Club I believe it has now become essential that Liverpool City Council stands up, not just for the Club, but for the City and in particular the people of the Anfield district against the American owners of LFC. The work planned around the Anfield area has stalled due to the American owners inability to fund a stadium that would in turn lead to the regeneration of the area. There are homes left empty, there are families living in permanent discord, empty property is a target for vandalism and there are businesses suffering into a possible terminal state of decline. LFC fans are on the edge of revolting against the owners and this looks like it will cause disruption in one way or another within the City, as witnessed with the protest at Anfield a couple of weeks ago and with plans being made for further actions. I would like to try and pre-empt this and distance myself from any disruption and begin moves to challenge LFC in a more suitable, dignified and professional way – as is the way of Liverpool people for the most part - and I would like to present this idea to you in the hope that you will take time out from your busy schedule to give this some thought. The City Council has a duty to stand up for the area and the City in general. The American owners of LFC are asking an obscene, unrealistic price for the club. Factored into their thinking is the projected future earnings a new ground can bring in and this forms a very large part of their plan to rake every penny possible out of the club. Our plan is quite simply for the City Council to withdraw its support for the American’s leasing of Stanley Park. Whilst the fundamental principles of the agreement between LCC and LFC are unbeknown to me, I believe that there will be actions – such as Compulsory Purchase Orders – that the Council can take in order to force the hand of the American owners into giving up the land on Stanley Park. Indeed, there may be legal ways of forcing them out of the agreement due to the fact that they have not delivered on their promises of building a new stadium and helping the regeneration of the Anfield area. By forcing this issue the City Council will not only be taking a stand against a couple of businessmen intent on tearing down an International footballing institution, and pivotal part of the Anfield community, but it will also be showing support for an area in desperate need of regeneration. I would hope that by withdrawing their lease – or making it known that it is being thought about - it will force the current owners of LFC to reassess their asking price for the club. The City Council could go even further and say that it’s also unwilling to lease Stanley Park to any new owners unless they can provide absolute proof that they are willing to regenerate the area and build a stadium. I would be interested in knowing your thought on this matter. For information there are a couple of us all taking different steps to try and help force this issue and this – my idea - is just one avenue. I have friends contacting the Sports Minister, the Royal Bank Of Scotland (as they are funding the “robbery” of LFC) and their local MP’s all with ideas that we feel could help. We are not a militant group or looking to cause any trouble, we’re just a couple of lads trying to help our club and the Anfield area. We all have family living in Anfield whilst two guys actually live in the area (one of whom lives directly opposite Stanley Park). We do not want to be associated with any other Liverpool group that is attempting to take action around the predicament at LFC. I would prefer to try and get the thoughts of yourself on this and not take this to other MP’s of the Liverpool area as was my initial thought to try and gain momentum. I will treat this email with the utmost confidentiality. I would appreciate similar from yourself as it is important to me (us) that this idea is presented in the correct manner and not hijacked for any other cause or by any other LFC related group. Thank you in advance for reading this far and I hope that you are sympathetic enough in this matter to contact me. Thanks again, best wishes -------- As mentioned i sent that email, and communications regarding it, near the end of July with a follow up more recently. Here is a list of Councillors to contact: joe.anderson@liverpool.gov.uk; steve@steve4walton.co.uk; steve.rotheram.mp@parliament.uk; alison@alisonmcgovern.org.uk; eaglem@parliament.uk; twiggd@parliament.uk; billesterson4sefton@googlemail.com; howarthg@parliament.uk; ellmanl@parliament.uk Please email these Councillors politely asking that they take away the single biggest reason for these people being here. It will take you only 5 minutes to play a massive part in helping protest our club. Do it. Do Something. We can beat these. Blackstone, you're next. YNWA

In July I made contact with Liverpool City Council with an email that i will post shortly. After a few discussions, that shall remain confidential for the time being, I backed off to wait for further development mainly in the hope that Martin Broughton would succeed in bringing in new owners. In light of the information released in the last day or two regarding Tom Hicks looking to re-finance I have decided that I can wait around no longer. I need to start to force the issue. WE NEED TO FORCE THE ISSUE. As fans we need to stand up and be counted. For the most part our lives revolve around this football club and here we are standing by while some two bit businessmen look to asset strip us. Well they can try. Under no circumstances am i going to stand by and let these people take away my club without a fight. I urge each and every one of you to take a stand too. On Sunday October 3rd 2010 Liverpool Football Club host Blackpool in a Premier League game to kick off at 3pm. I would like all of our fans to join us and let this be known as 'Do Something Day'. Our fans are disjointed as events to raise awareness of the owners greed by various groups and unions do not always meet with universal approval. This causes a problem as it looks like we are not together in our aim of putting pressure on the owners of LFC and the Board to do the right thing and sell to an owner with morals. For one day we forget about questioning the actions and motives of others and take it upon ourselves to Do Something that makes a point, no matter how small, towards the owners of our great club. So, with this in mind we ask that October 3rd be 'Do Something Day'. Whether you start a march, refuse to buy food or drink at half time, don't buy from the club shop when you visit the ground, send an email outlining your feelings to the club or whatever - it doesn't matter - just Do Something. Take an action, any action you want that in some small way shows how you feel towards the club and the way it is being run. The news that Tom Hicks is trying to re-finance should worry every single Liverpool fan. It should concern you that a man with no money wants to take your money in order to pay for your club. It should concern you that since both he and his business partner George Gilett came into town that they have not put any money into moving your club forward. That they have taken as much as they can - whether it be for business trips or architect drawings of a stadium that will never be built - they have not put anything into this club. Their sole aim to bleed this club dry and we need to take action before it is too late. I have setup a facebook group known as fansvslfc. Please take an action and please let me know what action you take. The fear is that if Tom Hicks refinances now then he has the knowledge of how to refinance again in 6, 12, 18 months time. It will be a never ending nightmare. Let's take a stand to make it stop. October 3rd 2010. Do Something Day. Time to fight for your club. Facebook: fansvslfc Please pass this message onto every Liverpool fan and LFC related forum you know of and importantly, let us know what you are doing.. YNWA
