I agree. We earned s*** loads more that expected last year by winning the EC and now we've just qualified for it again. Unless we were doing a Leeds on it and gambling on winning it there is money. I'm hoping to be blown away with 3 signings by next week. I'm either an optimistic idiot or justan idiot.

Well what he said was there has been no contact between Real and Liverpool or Owen and Liverpool. He said he's not interested in a striker as he's looking for a centre back and not a centre forward. Out of interest why do we do press conferences other than when someone signs? No one gets anything out of Rafa so they are a complete waste of time. Must be a pain in the back side knowing you have to head to Liverpool to interview Rafa. "Yep he answered everything I asked him but told me nothing....again" Personally I like the way he keeps business to himself but find these outings pointless.

Wahoo we can spend the rest of the afternoon fine combing every word, eye movement and gesture Rafa makes and come to the conclusion that, Owen seems most likely to sign when Baros goes to either Lyon for loads of cash or Villa for crap cash but Solano comes the other way. Cisse is 100% staying and going and where the hell is our big name centre back ffs's!!!

I think he's a class player. Really tidy on the ball. I don't think you can slagg a player off too much when it's Zidane keeping you on the bench..
