what would be the point of them competing in a competition where their relegation from the outset of the league was confirmed? they could play kids in all league games, rest their stars for all the cup games or kick certain teams/players off the park because suspensions would make no difference. They could occasionally field stronger sides to try and beat certain rivals or let others win. They need relegating this season. Then hit them with the transfer ban. Based on me watching those players based on the performances of Endo every single time he’s been called upon this season. Based upon watching Klopp treat him the same last season and then eventually realising he could be trusted far more than he’d previously given him credit for and increasing his playing time accordingly Based upon watching Harvey Elliot’s Liverpool career. The clutch contribution he’s made. This season under Slot included. Based on me watching Salah and Gravenberch currently looking shadows of the players they were pre-Christmas but that’s all I have - it’s just an opinion. It’s not maths.
