I believe that Lucas played to give more coverage to our full backs when they got forward. Don't think that helped as far as defensive/covering midfielder role goes. Get Moreno in as well and push one of those midfield roles forward and we'll have a more balanced team.

the main reason I see for 2 holding midfielders is to give more coverage to our full backs when they attack. We had a 20 yo newbie on one side and Glojo on the other - they needed the help defensively. If it carries on like that then I'd like to see can instead of lucas. or when Rodgers has more confidence in our right back, and changes our left back then will see that holding/covering role down to just one player.

he was leading scorer in Serie A until he got injured in January. came back for the last couple of games of the season. scored 16 in 22 for Foiretina in total but the repetitive injuries are a concern.
