  1. Losing individual battles in the midfield, and not stopping crosses. Huge 45 mins coming up now, does this Liverpool team want to be champions? Probably one of the most important half time team talks in Arnes time here.
  2. Two poor goals to concede though Watkins took his header well. We're too slow and passive on the ball, other than balls over the top and mistakes by Villa at the back we've created little.
  3. Aye that's been our best way in at the moment. Been too slow and ponderous on the ball.
  4. That was awful from Jota, at least hit the target
  5. Going to be at Fado's Irish Pub in Buckhead, Atlanta, GA for this one on Wednesday.
  6. I'd take an ugly win every time. It builds character, shows determination and that the lads are willing to fight right up to the final whistle.
  7. Mancs playing with a flat back five.

    2024/25 Season

If Ipswich can go to Villa Park and get a point then we should be looking for a victory. I'd be happy with a point at the Emptyhad.
  9. Outstanding goal by Cunha, lovely hit from the edge of the area, no goalie was saving that.

    2024/25 Season

I don't think we're running out of gas, we're near the bottom of the table when it comes to distance covered. Did Arne instruct them to protect the lead in the second half and conserve energy?
  11. Wasn't well executed, he was hoping for contact and ended up with egg on his face. If he stayed on his feet hes one on one with the goalie.

    2024/25 Season

This five game sequence is brutal, so far we've picked up four points from two games with Villa, City and Newcastle to come. 4th, 7th and 9th in the table respectfully. How many points would you be happy with?
  13. There is no easy game in the Premier League with the exception of Leicester and Southampton. We played midweek in an energy sapping derby and Wolves didn't so it makes sense they showed more energy and impetus towards the end of the game. We got the job done that is all that matters over this horrible five game run.
  14. Holy s*** that was extremely uncomfortable. Probably the worst we've played in the second half of a game this season. Credit to wolves for putting us under the cosh but three points is all that matters.
  15. Disappointed after the final whistle but all things considered we extended our lead at the top. We're eight points ahead effectively because of goal difference. Drawing a few games here and there during the Klopp/Guardiola era would've been a killer but it appears the league has resorted back to the norm. Whoever wins the title will probably hover around the 90 point mark. Conceding goals in the last minute of games happens but it goes both ways. What's important now is we as a club and a fan base need to forget about this game and focus our energy on helping the players get over the line in the next four games. They're coming thick and fast starting with Wolves.
  16. It's going to be a horrible match, pretty much everyone will be against us. The pundits, the commentators majority of fans. They so badly want a title race and milking the fact this will be the last derby at Goodison. It'll be nauseating.
  17. They'll be spitting venom 2 wins in 13 matches there, that ain't good.
  18. They've been s***e for years but our record at Goodison is woeful. It doesn't matter where the Bitters are in the table it's one of our toughest away games of the season. I'd take a point and get out of there with no injuries.
  19. Yeah mentioned it afterwards, but the Mane goal sticks out in my mind more than the 4-1.
  20. Win this and its a dagger through the heart for them. For us to go nine clear with the same number of games played would be hugely significant mentally.
  21. I'd take a point but a victory would be utopia. Expect Everton in the first half hour to bust a gut, be all over us, physical and in our faces. Don't concede in that first 30 mins then we'll have a chance of winning the game. Our record at theirs is not good in recent times apart from the Mane last minute goal and the 4-1 battering. Plenty of draws, five 0-0 s, exciting stuff.
  22. He'll be disappointed more with the performance of the players rather than the result, he ain't losing any sleep over today.
  23. f*** that, his target will always be the League and Champions League. The two cup trophies are there as consolation prizes. Winning the FA and League Cup is nice but it's not enough. Just look at managers who have won with trophy in the past ten years and have now either lost their jobs or are under pressure to keep their job.
  24. Aye, priorities at THIS stage of the season 1. League 2. League Cup 3. Champions League 4. FA Cup Notice the emphasis on THIS ; )
  25. Going out has improved our chances of winning the League. It's a f***ing no brainer. No extra games to now cram in between the League and Champions League campaign. Some right miserable sods on here.
