  1. Do you think those 7 games in 20 days in February took a lot out of us? Its like we've been running on fumes
  2. Yes, very eerily, I'm just glad there is an international break this time, some of our players need a long break and recharge for the run in.
  3. Aye, Newcastle have had more time to rest and prepare for this game. Their players have more energy than us. We're running out of juice at the most crucial time of the season. Lets hope we got enough left in the tank to get us over the line for the Premier League.
  4. That first half performance set the pattern of play, so disappointed to see us play like that in first 45 mins considering what happened midweek. Was it complacency? Tiredness mental and/or physical? Key players losing form at a crucial time?
  5. Lets be honest none of our front three have played well for a while, Mo, Jota and Diaz are all off the boil.
  6. This is concerning, we've not put in a decent performance for a month now. The season is catching up to us, we look lackluster, tired and just seemingly going through the motions.
  7. Well there is only one player out there who truly knows what happened, Alvarez. Interesting to hear what he has to say about it.
  8. Here is a frame by frame video including a close up of the ball on contact. To me it's inconclusive you can't tell one way or the other if it hits his standing foot first so the pen should've stood. https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/s/L52FYl8X7l
  9. His standing foot is extremely close to the ball but it's really hard to tell if it makes any sort of contact with the ball. Christ if we had half the luck Real have had in the competition over the past five years we'd be on seven or eight by now.
  10. Never seen a team get so much luck in the European Cup.
  11. Our players will need it, we're running out of steam. Gravenberch isn't the same player as he was before Christmas. A week between games will ensure we've got time to recover.
  12. Totally, Arne is still learning the league and let's be honest there are no easy games in the premier league. It's probably why he felt in his first season to not rotate as heavily. But once he gets a year under his belt he'll have a better idea of the utilisation of the squad and when to rest key players during the League campaign.
  13. Aye, Nunez just hasn't developed enough as a player. He hasn't grown his game to the point where he is just as important as say Gakpo, comparing him to Mo is a little unfair. It's time to let him go in the summer.
  14. To be fair their left back was outstanding, Mendes was it? He did brilliantly over two legs against him.
  15. Not a good substitute appearance but we're stuck with him till the end of May. We know he's not good enough, can have brilliant and shocking individual moments in a game but his all round play isn't good enough for a team challenging on multiple fronts. He could still play a crucial role in wrapping up number 20. So stick by him till the summer.
  16. Yeah we got bad luck of the draw there. It is what it is though. I expect PSG to get to the final.at least.
  17. We do but not strong enough to challenge on three or four fronts at the moment.

    2024/25 Season

Listen, you can be disappointed at tonight, but the league is the number one goal, always has been. The CL would've been nice but it's a cherry to put on top of a well baked cake. I wanted the league first and foremost in August and I still want it now. Some of us on here please don't go overboard tonight, don't criticize the manager or the players, they played the next best team in the CL and lost on pens. We ran out of energy and with a little luck we would've gone through on the night. Credit to Slot and boys, no one expected us to be where we're at in March. Now get behind them and let's bring number 20 home.
  19. They just had more gas left in the tank, that was the difference. We could've won it in normal time, shot off the line and we hit the post. Such fine margins at the top level of the game.
  20. Agreed, bit of an overkill from NR, they're the best team we've faced this season and are now favorites, they look really good. Luck of b*****d draw in a way because finishing top of the group led us to drawing the next best team in the last 16.
  21. PSG now favorites for the Cup. They're a brilliant team, over 210 mins of footy you could say they edged it but we ran out of gas.
  22. Definitely, we're out on our feet here. Tired minds and bodies. It's a lottery now. Lads have done us proud this PSG are class.
  23. Where did that PSG player get all that energy from?
