I've never said anything different. The point, again, is that FSG have done literally nothing more than them to improve the team. Which is what we want, right? Right? Anyone? (Oh yeah, FSG appointed Hodgson and sacked Kenny, so, y'know, they are c****.)

Keep it ticking along in value...which is what H&G wanted to do. No more, no less. Certainly no sign they are demanding trophies.

In an ideal world we'd have a fans' mutual to own the club. But in the absence of that we'd invest a more significant amount in top players. Not that complex. There are huge revenue streams. Should be using them.

Don't be under the impression that people are blasé about whether we'd like G&H still here or that it's not good that they've gone. The main point here is that we are achieving no more than we were under them. And in some ways less.

We need to look at United. They're throwing money at it on the strength of the television money. Last summer and this. Huge amounts. Don't believe the hype. Not saying it was sound. After five years of FSG we've advanced zip on the pitch. Squat. I'd even say diddly squat. We bought tons of players under H&G, many of which were s***, and we won nothing. We've bought tons of players under FSG, many of which are s***, we've won a league cup. We haven't got CL football regularly under FSG, and any increase in the club's value (if that's important) is largely thanks to TV money. I dare say had it not been for the financial crisis, H&G may even have built a new stadium. What difference did that make? Was it really at risk of insolvency? Only if the club had no assets, which was never the case. Agree with you on the rest. It's not revisionist. I'm not saying that they were better than we remember them. They were s***. I'm saying FSG are barely any better.

Don't think there's a huge amount of difference in essence between G&H and FSG. We've just yet to reach FSG's 'blow me, f***face' moment.
