We bought tons of players under H&G, many of which were s***, and we won nothing. We've bought tons of players under FSG, many of which are s***, we've won a league cup. We haven't got CL football regularly under FSG, and any increase in the club's value (if that's important) is largely thanks to TV money. I dare say had it not been for the financial crisis, H&G may even have built a new stadium. What difference did that make? Was it really at risk of insolvency? Only if the club had no assets, which was never the case. Agree with you on the rest. It's not revisionist. I'm not saying that they were better than we remember them. They were s***. I'm saying FSG are barely any better.
