  1. Just play him. We might see a reaction.
  2. There's been plenty, including TV, radio and national press. There's also has been a lot on the back of the mancs' campaign. SOS have more than made our feelings known nationally, which I don't think is that important in the greater scheme of things anyway. They're doing the right thing by chipping away at local and matchgoing fans, who are the ones who can vote with their feet and start starving their profits, which is all they care about or understand.
  3. Have you missed all the coverage we've had? There's been tons of it, everyone knows our objectives. How many times can you say the same thing on national television before it starts turning people off? The Glazers like our pair won't sell and all the press coverage and Green & Gold scarves in the world won't change that. Boycotting is the only way to hurt them and make them rethink their plans but no one can do without their matchday fix.
  4. In what way? SOS have had some excellent coverage. The mancs' plight is just the media flavour of the month. It'll pass when they remember the Glazers won't sell/win the league.
  5. Is the White bib theory still in effect? If it is Kyriagos is playing and Masch isn't.
  6. I don't think you're making much sense to be honest. Best leave it there.
  7. I've been to plenty of games and never seen Gerrard run up to any of his team mates. He's just not that type of character. I've seen him rip into underperforming players when it's warranted and also encourage and cajole when it's needed, but then I don't have a personal dislike of the lad. You said he's never been captain material despite the fact that he's inspired us to two of our greatest successes of modern times and too many otther victories to mention. How about giving the lad a break?
  8. Like in Istanbul and Cardiff?
  9. I've never once seen Gerrard flounce around or run up to any player screaming abuse. I have seen him encourage plenty though but it seems to get ignored in this lust to question his captaincy. As for his passing, it's very rare that he's so off form that he gives the ball away every other pass. I wish I could say the same for his team mates. Some people just don't like him and blame him for the managers failing, which is fair enough, but at least admit it.
  10. Kenny has been out of it too long. Lets remember him as the legend he is. Though I could just see the Americans offering him the job thinking it would appease the fans. It's the type of weak leadership we've come to expect.
  11. Webb is our Clive Thomas.
  12. That's the side I'd pick, with maybe Benayoun for Babel. But we know Kuyt will play and Rafa will pick a team based on the opposition.
  13. Hodgson could be a shrewd appointment, at least short term. Without major investment, though, winning the title is always going to be a long shot for any manager. What we need is someone who doesn't continually worry about the opposition to the point that he nulifies his own team and I think we'd bridge the gap and certainly be up there at least challenging more consistantly. Rafa has had a good crack at it and if he stuck to a more aggressive approach I can't think of a better man for the job.
  14. I doubt qualifying for the Champions League will suddenly force them to sell. They own a profitable brand with or without the UEFA gravy train and will just look at other avenues to raise profits to pay their loans. We've been hoping and praying for nearly 3 years that they'll do the right thing and sell up to a rich fan but they're still here and actively looking for ways to stay. The best we can hope for is reduced debt and a new stadium, even if the profits will be swallowed up by even more loans.
  15. I'd say he's further away than ever and is clinging on until he either walks or he's pushed. I just don't see any way back from this season. I don't think Hodgson would win the league here either, it just seems odd that it's Rafa's way or nothing, even if it meant a league title.
  16. How is Del Piero still getting a game? He's dreadful.
  17. Possibly, but I doubt that means Lucas will be on his way out. We need 4 CM's and he'd just have to replace him. Plus he obviously rates him a lot.
  18. Why do you think that? He'll just have to replace him. If Masch stays then I think we're sorted in midfield, unless Stevie decides he wants out.
  19. That's what the two holding midfielders are for. If we had two full backs constantly bombing up and down the line then I might agree but we don't.
  20. Why wouldn't you want a manager here who would win the league?
  21. We need another dominant centre back but I'm not sure pace is a necessity, though it won't do any harm. He plays two holding midfielders because he wants a rigid compact midfield that doesn't get caught on the counter and I doubt that would change if we had Linford Christie alongside Agger, who is no speedster himself. All the best centre backs were never lightning quick anyway, it's about their positional sense and speed of thought. Depending on funds available (so zilch) my priority would be a left back, mainly because it's currently our weakest position. The striker is already sorted so after that it would have to be a creative attacking player, who you can never have enough of.
  22. I hate Steve Bruce. It would sum this season up if we failed to capitalise on last nights results. Lets smash them everywhere.
  23. To be fair, with our away form like it is every game is tough from now on in. One at a time. We've got the experience and hopefully a few wins will see the others wilt under the pressure.
  24. Now would be the perfect time to string a few wins together and put the pressure on. That's all we can do when it's not in our hands.
