One of the best things about Suarez was his pressing and intensity further up the pitch, think we've lost that energy as a whole and are not defending from the front, so it's too easy just to blame the 4 in defence, tho they're not doing themselves any favours with some of the basic stuff. For me midfield is still a massive issue, without that high intensity closing down we leave huge holes right through the spine. Still early into the season tho and I'm not losing faith after a whooping from the best team in Europe, who are favourites to go on and win it again

People talk about the defence last season like we were favourites for the title or something, the season came out of nowhere when everyone would have readily accepted 4th. One good season doesn't mean we're no longer building, especially after losing arguably the best player in the world, and ANY team would take time to adapt. There's issues to sort out but to say last season was all about one player is not only rubbish but disrespectful to players like Gerrard who was magnificent, and Hendo and Sterling who came on leaps and bounds. It's raised expectations again for the first time in a long time and he deserves the benefit of the doubt. If we're really pointing fingers at a really good young manager in his first bad patch after last seasons heroics then I think we were really are in the s***.

No shame in that result, they are an awesome side and we are still building on one good season. Still early days into this season, the hints about Rodgers getting the heave ho are ludicrous but the age we live in.

Don't think we'll go through, we look out of our depth at this level.

Midfield is issue for me, never seen so much space at this level before, no protection to the defence, who lets face it aren't great but they need a better shape in front of them. We can't go toe to toe with this team, they are superb.

These are brilliant mate, arguably the best side in the world, and they are on fire tonight. We are chronic but let's not forget that. We need to sit deep and defend for our lives but I don't think we can.
